We are so fortunate to have this wonderful little restaurant near our village. It is our favourite restaurant for so many reasons, the food is superb, the atmosphere is wonderful with a mix of locals and visitors, the owner is delightful & extremely knowledgeable regarding Thai food. This isn't really necessary as he has a genuine Thai chef but it is still great to have him describe every item on the menu in detail. Keep it up William. p.s. It is necessary to book because it is always busy.

We followed the recomendation of friends. It took us ages to find Lal Khazana (almost going all the way back to Alnwick) but we persevered and was delighted that we did. Delicious, well cooked and original food beautifully presented, pleasant and friendly staff and efficient service. Will definitely be going back (and bringing some other friends along) when we are next in the area.

The food has been great the last couple of times we have been.The biggest issue however is it's a cash only business. Cash only in 2019? Incredible. When the cost of a card reader is in the tens rather than the hundreds, the amount of business lost due to people not carrying cash as much these days must be numerous. It's a strange policy and one that's put me off unfortunately.Dear customer,We are confused by this review. We assume you are talking about our take away business as we do accept all cards in our restaurant. What you may not know about card machine companies is that the cost of purchase is only a small part. Each transaction that goes through, the card machine company then takes a percentage, this is how they make money and this is how we lose money. Many small business now charge a fee for using a card machine for small transactions. We are sorry that this has deterred you however there is a bank machine 30 seconds down the road from our premises.Many thanks,Yanâs

My wife and I ate here on Sunday 20th Oct. We arrived early and were seated immediately. The staff were attentive and helpful (which to be honest I can find annoying in restaurants as you can sometimes feel rushed). We had a poppadum and pickle started whilst enjoying a Kingfisher and looking at the menu. My wife had Veggie Zaj Jool and I had Chicken Jalfrezi. I really have to say (and this is from someone who lives near Bradford) that this absolutely ranked as one of the best curries I have ever had. I was chatting with the two gentlemen afterwards and they were very knowledgable about the cuisine and the ingredients. Vegans and Vegetarians can eat here with no worries. An absolutely fantastic end to a very rainy weekend in Alnwick! Bravo guys.

The Restaurant was clean and fresh looking and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The current owner, who is also very helpful and works within the restaurant, has only owned the restaurant since November 2018.The food was amazing. Great taste, great presentation and meals even individualised to suit personal tastes. We were served quickly and we did not have to wait very long for our starters, however at no time did we feel rushed. We were given plenty of time to enjoy our food and drinks. The price we thought was very reasonable and we were happy to leave a generous tip. Thank you for a great evening meal out.Definitely recommend a visit, we will be back on our return to Alnwick.
