Reviews on American food in Winnfield, Louisiana, United States. Mayor Kiah Beville (R) Winnfield City Council: District 2: Gerald "Scooter" Hamms (No Party) District 5: Jessie Edwards (D)
I was hoping for a quick, easy, and cheap meal while passing through Winnfield, but I wanted to support a local restaurant rather than get fast food. I'm glad I found Lynda's!I was in and out in a short time, the staff was super friendly, I paid less than $10, and most importantly, the food was good!
Located on the city square across from courthouse. Nice huge shop with kids merchandise and art exhibit and dinning area. This place has some political signs of governor Earl K.Long and a Paul Newman photo as Earl from the movie "Blaze". The staff was helpful and very friendly. The lunch selection was great and the food was delicious !! Place had hometown atmosphere with pleasant surroundings. Very clean !! Would definitely return- !!

This is a family style restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. Families and friends gather here to enjoy a good meal and conversation.
I am originally from Winnfield, and my family and I stopped in during a visit for lunch. My dad used to take me here all the time as a kid on "daddy-daughter dates." We all ordered the daily special which was fried chicken. They did not tell us that they had to prepare it fresh, and we thought that since it was a special, it would be out right away. This is a place where everybody knows everybody, and the servers knew what the regular customers wanted before they ordered. However, a regular customer who came in well after us was served his food (which was the exact same order as ours- the daily special) got his food before us. Ours came shortly after, but given the amount of time that we had already waited, it would have seemed only fair to make ours a priority since he had the same server. However, when we did get the food, it was delicious. The chicken was seasoned perfectly, and I loved the baked beans. They just need to treat the customers a little more fairly.
