Shortly after we sat down the chaos began which was due to a waiter who had a an inappropriately high opinion of himself.The drinks and bread were poorly managed.FOUND PIECES OF THE TIN CHEESE WRAPPER IN THE SALAD!The waiter must have come to his senses after causing a scene which didnât sit well with me. He offered dessert on the house. After we consumed the dessert he said one dessert was on the house. Bait and switch,to add insult to injury.I called the owner later in the day to report the incident, he offered a complimentary bottle of rose upon my next visit.In addition to apologies he said what many restauranteurs say, â good help is hard to findâ to which I say â not my problemâWhat makes him think I would return?

Relatively new - newly refurbished- on the hotel scene. A few years ago -they renovated this property - and they did it First Class. Beautiful grounds, spacious rooms and in the middle of Bridgehampton. Restaurant is first rate. Go there just to get away.

I am absolutely appalled with the rudeness of wait staff and especially of the manager whom we requested to see as a result but who absolutely failed to resolve anything but made the unpleasant situation even worse. I have eaten here in the past (we come down from East Hampton every now and then) and wanted to treat my family visiting from Europe to a late lunch. However, after a wait person was inexcusably rude to us all and did not allow my four year old (!!!) to use the bathroom before we got seated, I asked to see a manager - he showed up wearing a dirty shirt (!!!) chewing something and with a huge frown and was in turn even more appallingly rude, if at all possible. In my 12 years of spending summers in the Hamptons I have frankly never encountered such unprofessional behavior and such unprovoked rudeness, ever! I would be hard pressed to find a similarly unpleasant example in NYC as well... We have of course left, never to return, and I'm just sad that my family (my kid and my elderly mom) had to be subject to that. And why? There are too many excellent choices next door, why deal with this? They are at best nothing special.

We have not gone here in years. Extensive menu should please just about anyone. Mostly burgers and apps. Service not great, but acceptable. Runner brought our 2 appetizers to share between 5 people, and did not give us any plates to make sharing easy. Food was good.Dear Jackstraw66,I was there all day and night because of the Superbowl. It was seriously crazy during the day and slower at night.We apologize for the lack of attention. We are assumming you were there for dinner. Correct?Your runner was new, so we are sure it was just an oversight about the small plates. Let me know if and when you are planning to come back, we would like to give you a complimentary appetizer!!Thank you!!

Sunday night, 8.30 reservation, we had it all to ourselves!! Food was fine actually though bread rolls were stale, the rest was very tasty. Lovely waitress and we wish her all the best with the music career. So don't go for atmosphere unless you take your own party with you and sure it must be fun on Fridays and Saturdays. Also we had a prixe fix menu and it was very good value.

Almond is set in Bridgehampton in a very nice bistro setting. Tables outside and even inside the windows open on the street . The local cheese plate was very good accented with roasted almonds and honey. Came the main dishes lobster spaghetti was very disappointing. Lobster meat was more like cardboard with watered down taste. The rib eye was well cooked but lacked flavor .Tomatoes with vinaigrette had lots of taste but the whole dish missed something. Desert was very good as was the service but all in all a disappointing visit because of the main courses. Would gladly have paid that price for good food.

We spent the weekend in the Hamptons and took advantage of the East End Restaurant week special and we were not disappointed. Everything was delish!!! Amazing! We sat the the bar area and our bartender was very attentive and nice. We can't wait to come back and try some other dishes on the menu.

I couldn't believe the high quality of organic farm-fresh ingredients going into everything served at this Hamptons chain of cafes. Only the best for the rich, huh.As with everything that is of high quality is the high price and the extensive diversity of offerings you don't normally find at any run-of-the-mill cafe. More like a deli/cafe, I saw beef stew in the buffet set-up a little down the counter from the mini-bakery section. Across the way is a small set-up for smoothies and juices, made with farm-fresh organic fruits and vegetables, naturally.Our jelly and chocolate-covered custard donuts were tiny but exquisite in taste, texture. Our South Hampton sunrise juices had tons of fresh flavor.It's the most reasonable place in this small stretch of shops and restaurants.

Dish is a small restaurant run by a young couple. The menu changes every week and they make a big effort to have whatever is in season and local. Perhaps there are 6 tables tops! It's BYOB and it's just not to be missed as a dining experience. They are fine chefs. The tiny place isn't much to look at but worth the trip. Full of "foodies"!
