Enjoyed a great meal here while spending a few days for our anniversary, in the Waco area. Good steak, terrific chicken roulade, delicious risotto & a complimentary & perfectly prepared creme brulee for dessert...all in a lovely atmosphere with wonderful responsive but not intrusive service throughout...what's not to like?

Delicious Food, Great Atmosphere, Friendly Staff. Lunch time with the kids (age 11, 8, and 3)We came in to cool off on a hot day. A great stop as we walked from the suspension bridge, to the Dr Pepper Museum, and Magnolia Market. The buffalo chicken sandwich is SOOO good. Maybe a little too good, as I am craving it and live across the country. We would love to have you back for another buffalo chicken sandwich the next time you're in Waco, Jackie! We're so glad you and your kids enjoyed your time with us, and we appreciate your review!

This was a quick stop, but well worth it. The service was quick, the restaurant was loaded with people, but plenty of seating. The Bbq was great as was the potato salad and banana pudding. For those who love great barbecue, this is a great stop to sample it at its finest.

We eat at Jake's mostly on Sundays. The food and service is always great. Today the service was slow and we waited much longer than usual for our food. The problem seemed to be lack of enough service staff. We'll be back at Jake's soon but hope the service is back to usual. Thank you for the information. We strive to offer the most amazing experience possible and we were short staffed and had been working on training a new staff member. We are fully staffed, we just sometimes have someone get sick or the like, we are a family owned and operated business with 3 generations working. Our staff is like family and we do not have any "extra" staff that can come in when an emergency arises as we are generally all on set schedules. Again, thank you for the info and we will continue to strive to serve the best food with the best service in an amazing location!

The Cafe Homestead was awesome! Great food, great service and the grounds around it were an added bonus to our girls trip. Both of their soups (pablano cream and jalapeno sweet potato) were outstanding! We all got their London fog latte and it did not disappoint. It was cold and wet the day we visited so the warm soup and latte's were like a gift. Since this was a girls trip, we also had dessert. I had the pumpkin cheesecake and my girls each had the warm apple cobbler with homemade vanilla ice cream. All were outstanding! This place was a fantastic place.
