My husband and I got up early days decided to run to the nest for breakfast. Surprisingly it was not busy yet. I had an egg white omelette with spinach, feta and tomatoes. It was absolutely delicious. The potatoes were crisp and cooked to perfection. Great place and great service.

Stopped here for lunch and what a great little place! Great meat and cheese platter.. they have great salads and wraps too. Beer selection is amazing!! 1000 to choose from you walk around s pick one! Great wine and full bar. Parking can be tight if they are busy but a great stop for sure!! Loved it!

It was a late August Saturday afternoon, and we were hungry for a nice lunch. It was almost 1:30, so the real lunch rush was winding down. We sat at the booth nearest the kitchen, and began surveying the large menu. I had mentioned to the hostess/busser that I would need some menu advice, as to what was available gluten-free. I asked about the cabbage rolls, and was told they had bread crumbs. Finally I decided on the chili with mashed potatoes and a side salad. My husband ordered fish and chips.The body language of the server made it obvious that My dietary problems should not complicate Her day. I explained that this was not a choice, but a diagnosis, and eating the wrong thing could put me in the ER. My salad arrived with croutons, obviously not gluten-free. In the future, it will be too much trouble for me to return. I would have been better off at Wendy's across the street.

Stopped here numerous times for lunch. Reminds me of retro restrauant.Excellent food. The bartender has always waited on us. Very nice, friendly guy. Wing with tia Chile sauce, I highly recommend if you like a little heat. Old pictures of vermilion hanging on wall. Only draw back, the restrooms are in basement. You have to go down flight of stairs.

Large 2 story dining area with both indoor and outdoor seating. Parking for cars is plentiful and the river front dockage works well.Our experience has been this is a family friendly atmosphere during the day and early evening. Live music is common. Food is bar food: burgers, wings, fries, beer and large sodas.

We ate here with friends on a Friday night. When we sat down around 6:45, the restaurant was about 1/2 empty. We were seated promptly, and ordered drinks all around. About 15 minutes after our arrival, 2 other tables were seated in our same area. We waited. And waited. And waited. The 2 other tables ordered. We waited.Finally our order was taken. The food came for the other tables. We waited some more. About 1 1/2 hours after being seated, our food came. It was ok, but not worth the wait. The manager kept coming by to make one excuse after another for the delay. Creative story telling. To compensate, we were offered a free drink, which we were charged for. Fortunately, I caught the charge and it was corrected. $88 for perch (2) dinners a vodka and 2 glasses of wine!!! Never again.

Out with friends one afternoon before going to an event. Walked in there was seven of us there was a table big enough sat down service was very prompt. We order pizza subs wraps and sandwiches along with drinks it was fantastic. I would highly recommend this to anybody in the area especially the pizza it has its own taste.

We heard several people who came, but finally made it. My husband and I ordered the clan chowder and then we split their Tuesday cheeseburger and fry forn $7. Highly recommend. Cheeseburger cooked to request, medium.

therr is no comparison with their pit BBq prok sandwich..anywhere.. we have ytraveled all over the south and can"t find a better pork BBQ sandwich!!!! The "Pinkley" sauce is so special and the original owners have just put it on the market...The best ever!!!! I just bought 3 bottles....the fresh cut fries are great as well as the sweet potato hash,,(YUM) ..This is a BBQ lovers dream and a must eat place in Vermilion!!! We are regulars!!!! I haven't had their ribs but heard they are awesome too

Living in NEO, we love to visit the lake to watch the sunset. Tonight we planned to try a restaurant ahead of time, and discovered a gem. Though the bank closed after the crash of â29, the building still houses local treasures. To call James âour waiterâ would truly be an understatement. He was our thoughtful host, our attentive guide. He welcomed us, and treated us, like old friends. We enjoyed our cheese & meat board (yes, theyâll combine them for you! ) The board was a great combination of flavors and textures, and the port/cherry chutney deserves its own shout out!My husbandâs filet and parmesan herb risotto was âamazing.â In his top 5 of steak experiences. (Cooked medium plus.)My ravioli with lobster was delicious, with spinach, asparagus, red peppers and onion. And yes. The molten chocolate cake, with a nice crust on the outside and gooey goodness on the inside, and a side of salted caramel ice cream was the perfect âto shareâ dessert. A spontaneous trip-to-the-lake turned into a great memory. PS. Be sure to stop at the Vermillion Lighthouse; the sunsets are a work of art.
