We have been going to this particular location for the past several years. In fact, it is one of our go-to restaurants when friends and family are visiting. So it was no surprise that our daughter wanted to go there for her birthday dinner. We have always gone there for the food - local, healthy and good portions. The quality has always been great. The calamari appetizer is one of our favorites. However, it was a far from pleasant experience this time. Their kids meal comes with a bowl of fruit. When the fruits arrived, we found that one of the grapes had white fuzzy mold all over it. We asked the server for another bowl explaining that this bowl had mold. It got really weird after that. The server examined it carefully (at our table) and then took the bowl over to the manager who inspected it further. The rest of our food came out....and eventually another bowl of fruit. The server apologized and said that they had opened a new bag of grapes. I hope that was indeed the case. What was surprising was that we did see the manager a few times - he brought food over to the next table. But not once did he stop by to apologize. Come on - mold in a kid's meal is pretty unacceptable at any eating place. The bill came and there were no surprises. We paid the full price and our server made sure to not hang around the table too much. Not even the customary "how was everything?". When we were leaving, I told the hostess about the disappointing service - while I understand that the mold was not intentional, the least the manager could have done was stop by the table and apologize. She offered to get us a coupon for a free appetizer for the next time. I told her that based on our experience, there would be no next time!!There are lots of great eating places in Issaquah. One with moldy food and an unapologetic manager can be easily avoided.

Our specialty is steak! We buy only corn fed, Nebraska raised beef. The finest beef available anywhere. We then either dry or wet age our beef, depending on the cut, for a minimum of 28 days to ensure that famous flavor and tenderness found only at JaK's.
I just had a free dinner at Jakâs Grill in Issaquah. Why? Because I was ignored. And I mean completely⦠Ignored. At first the service was great, and then my waitress disappeared. And Iâm talking⦠Vanished Without A Trace. I was sitting at the bar and a male waiter seemed to take over the clients she had been serving, including a couple sitting next to me. The male waiter was extremely attentive to this couple, even showing them videos of his new doggie, which I watched too, catching his eye. But after that he never looked at me again, even when I tried to get his attention. I waited and waited and waited, and finally got up to use the restroom, thinking that when they saw my finished dishes and no tab, they would wake up. But wake up they did not. And I walked out. I guess I should feel like I scored a big one, but then, as a 60-something-year-old woman, I feel insignificant and unnoticed.

We drove from Seattle to see Snoqualmie Falls and stopped here for lunch. It was a Saturday, so they were also serving brunch. Glad we found this place as we were unfamiliar with the area. We got lucky and highly recommend this place if you are in the area. Several of us had trout and it was very good. We got in just before it got really crowded. Service was good and food was very good.

Came in for Happy Hour. The appetizer was delicious and reasonably-priced at $11 during Happy Hour. There a 3% service charge. Not sure why-emailed restaurant afterwards but 3 days no reply. I don't know this is new for Issaquah. I have not seen this anyway else yet. I know Seattle puts these extra fees-that is why I don't go to Seattle often nor patronize restaurants there. Good service should be rewarded and should not be automatic because some some restaurants and bars have bad service and bad food.

Your home to culinary comforts, scratch-baked goods, craft cocktails & much more goodnessâall locally sourced, bringing you the best of the Pacific Northwest.
I have only gone to Pomegranate for breakfast and I can say that it is hands down the best in town. I have not tried lunch or dinner there. The staff is very friendly, baked goods out of this world, and the food amazing. My family's go to for breakfast, and we always take any out of town relatives and friends there when they visit.

Went on a Sunday, late morning. There was about a 30 minute wait to be seated, and few people turned away. Breakfast is served all day and lunch after 11:00. We had the diced ham and eggs, egg, has brown scramble, buckwheat pancakes that were light and fluffy, and good coffee. Smaller place than Sammamish Cafe, with friendly staff. Portions were big. Will be back again.

Rich started in the restaurant business in 2012, with a single Pizza restaurant, as a hobby. Now the "hobby" has developed into four different locations and types of hospitality.
I was so excited to have a higher end restaurant open nearby. We were seated right away and ordered the crostini first. It tasted good but when I order crostini it is usually larger than one small bite. Very overpriced for the size. I ordered pasta with smoked salmon and lemon cream sauce. The salmon was dried out and the sauce was so sweet it was practically inedible. My friend ordered the duck egg carbonara. The sauce was broken and oily, not the right texture. She asked the server if the dish was supposed to be so oily and his response was "but you like it right? " and it was a little intimidating. Lastly, I understand that the pizza place next door is owned by the same family, but the manager/owner (I don't know which) kept running between the two restaurants using the front doors, running through and grabbing plates to clear them off the table in his pizza uniform. I appreciate the attentive service, but it was very distracting to see him running in and out through the front door (maybe there are doors in the back by the kitchens) and when trying to portray an upscale atmosphere, wearing a pizza place uniform detracts from the overall effect. I had high hopes for this place but we were so disappointed in the food, service, and atmosphere we haven't returned and don't plan to.

Try a Tinga! That's the real name of a shredded chicken atop corn tortillas. We split an order and then had to order another. Well, we had just gotten off the bike trail! And don't miss the taquitos. Entirely greaseless. Simple, excellent flavors, enhanced by just the right white cheese, guacamole sauce, and white sauce. Other cuisines are on the menu too, but I'll have a hard time branching out after having real Mexican food. In fact, next door is a connected seafood restaurant. It's kind of like a stylish, welcoming food court with alcohol options. So you can sit outside, in the bar side, or in the family side. There's even a beet salad so there's food for every palate. The prior occupant's pizza is still on offer too. Also burgers, salads, more appetizers. This is a brilliant business model and I plan to visit during each bike ride. We also felt very welcome in this unpretentious, down to earth place.

I ordered veggie burger And corn bisque. The soup was excellent, burger was so heavily covered in cheese it was unbearable. Our server Alysha was great.no questions asked she offered me something else on menu and took my meal off the bill. My hubby ordered a burger eolth bacon and onion rings..he liked it. To management::: Please increase the lighting...the dining room is just too dark.

My hubbsters and I split the breakfast quesadilla and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and the fine wait staff. Can get crowded. Great menu, and we'll be back for dinner!
