Arrived in Rouen late after a frustrating 9 hour drive from the Bordeaux area. Found this burger bar on the Internet and they had room for 10 including our grandchildren. All the burgers were excellent as was the beer and wine. Great service and the owners and staff were very helpful. Small with street tables outside but nothing was too much problem amending the set burgers to suit all our party.Highly recommended and a very short walk to view the light show at the nearby Cathedral.

I do love a good burger and this place really delivered on that. Good quality ingredients, well cooked and nicely presented. The chips were very good too. Service was prompt and friendly, and the modestly priced house wine was palatable.The only downside to the place is the décor which is somewhat tired and dated - but go for the food and you will not be disappointed.

Down an alley from the Joan of Arc church you find one of Rouen's hidden gems, Le Cap'tain. Unassuming from afar, this small burger bar (yes, a burger bar should be counted among the top Rouen restaurants) sets an ambient atmosphere with stripped back brick walls, beautiful decor and friendly staff.Having read previous Trip Advisor reviews we went there confidently, but nothing could have prepared us for the incredible quality and taste sensation of Le Cap'tain's burgers. In truth, you have never had a burger until you have had it here! Truly one of the best restaurants in Rouen, the chef at Le Cap'tain upholds the proud French tradition of cooking the tastiest food using fresh ingredients and cooking up even the ketchup from scratch All this would be enough on its own for me to recommend Le Cap'tain as one of my absolute favourite Rouen restaurants, but what makes this Rouen burger bar truly exceptional is the owner and staff. Rarely have I been made to feel so at home and welcomed in any restaurant. The waiter's level of English was great, as was the chef's and owner's who both came to ensure everything was in order with our meal.If you are looking for a great Rouen restaurant , look no further than Le Cap'tain.

When you have had enough oysters along Normandy you probably wish to finally have a good and juicy burger. So you're in the right place to enjoy an honest burger, perfectly cooked and served with some delicious receipes.Service is quick and friendly. Only one of the waiter spoke just few words of english but he was very kind and struggled to let us understand eachother.Price is cheap. Location is nice. Go straight to your burger. Won't be disappointed.

based on Central Perk in 'Friends' this small cafe is an ideal place for a snack & drink in a small group. great drinks, lovely cakes and the bagels looked really good. i wouldnt take kids in there and if there is more than four of you dont bother but otherwise you cant go far wrong.
