Prime rib with a beautiful view of the bay. Deep fried walleye $16. recently redecorated with knotty pine in Swedish/ Norwegian-style. Artfully adorned with bird prints. Effusive barkeep (owner?) and ample courteous staff. Looks new, but has been here a long long time. Worth finding. GPS comforting. "Up North."

Have eaten here a number of times when visiting relatives. Atmosphere leaves a little bit to be desired but the staff and service are terrific. On this visit we had walleye and it was well prepared and delicious with very good side dishes. But the best is always after the meal and we move to the bar for an after dinner drink., Largest and best ice cream drink (Grasshopper) we have ever had, you need two spoons to eat it.
But the potato salad was perhaps the most memorable ever, though the fish was as good as a 40 inch Northern Pike filet. Friday Fish Fry and the place was jammed elbow to elbow. The wait was 30 minutes without reservations. Kitchen was shipping take out as fast as it was wiping down tables. Indoor seating for 20(?),Outdoor seating (20?) mosquito-less, none. Best to go west on Hwy "F" out of Phillips and then South or Left on Golf Course Rd. With a mug of Point root beer, about $12/ea.Golf course open to public, but I eat and never golf, ever.

I have been to this little cafe' quite a few time especially when hungry for broasted Chicken. They serve the best there is to be had. I have also been to many events that they have catered and everything is delicious. I recommend this place to everyone looking for good food.

The Harbor View is a good local eatery that offers everything from pizza to prime rib. The burgers are top shelf. The steak sandwich is tasty, but in this case overly seasoned. The pizza is good if you like a more doughy texture to your crust. A solid performer to be sure and the staff is warm and inviting making each visit a pleasure.

My friend and I were in Phillips for one night on a traveling vacation. We stopped into Meisters Bar on a Saturday afternoon to get a burger and a beer. The waitress/bar tender was quick to take our order and was very friendly. We both had burgers and we both found them to be incredible. The cook chatted with us and everyone was nice to us. We will definitely stop in there anytime we pass through the area!

Special orders don't upset her! She welcomes them. Gluten-free & vegetarian friendly. Mix & match from the menu while she makes your meal from scratch. Spunky sauces, perfectly cooked meat, crunchy little vegies tucked in...what's not to love? Thai-ish, Cuban sandwiches, BBQ, you name it they'll aim to please. Service is friendly, funny & informative through the window. Locals sometimes call their orders in ahead, so don't be surprised if someone picks up an order while you're waiting for yours. Don't fret. It's worth the wait!MUST try the home made puffed caramel corn--perfectly crunchy, melt in your mouth, a titch of salt, sweet but not too much--and then enjoy the funky flavor selection! If you don't want to eat in your car, head to the park & watch the water while you enjoy whatever succulent choice you selected for lunch. The only thing I didn't like? That she doesn't have a sit down restaurant with a full funky menu. Or maybe that it's not close by because I would go often. Ask about the logo while you wait ~ Lola & the rhino : )

The view from the balcony really makes this place have a difference over other places. The burger was pretty fine. well prepared, greasy and just as expected.Service was so-so, a bit short and not very friendly. After a long day in meetings, it is a great place to sit down, rewind and have something to eat.

We drove nearly an hour and a half to partake in the Birchwood Island Resort Crawfish & Blues fest. Being a professional musician that does INDEED play the blues, I was looking forward to the music. It was âOK,â but then the singer asked if anyone wanted to hear anything special. A woman in the crowd called out, âSouthern Rock.â The band promptly switched into an all-Southern rock playlist and stayed there. We eventually left. The food was Ok, and the event, as designed was a great idea. But when you publicize a genre of music, then switch to something different, not good. I suspect the rock was the BANDâS genre of choice, too, as they stuck with it. Next time, hire a blues band.
