I like that two of the three principal owners of Bake-A-Deli have formal culinary training. I think this translates to a more interesting and inventive menu than the typical deli. My wife and I visited for the first time last week for lunch. We ordered turkey tetrazzini soup and a chicken salad sandwich. Warning. Bring your appetite. We ordered one sandwich to share. When it came, it was actually two sandwiches. We were each handed a plate with a whole sandwich on two slices of fresh baked bread. When I said there must be a mistake, I learned that this is their full sandwich. A half sandwich is two slices of bread the same as a whole sandwich elsewhere. I was informed that they want their customers to leave fully satisfied. The bread was terrific. I would have liked a little larger portion of chicken salad on it, however. The soup was rich and hearty; perfect for a cold winter day. My only criticism is that it was too salty. We didn't try any of the cookies or bakery items. We will return for those for sure. Bottom line is that the food and friendly owners make this a nice addition to Ontario. It's a bit out of the way but worth searching for.

When I arrived there were lines waiting to pay and lines waiting to be seated. A server finally allowed us to seat ourselves and checked folks out. I was quickly greeted and the server apologized telling me they were short staffed. Staff was friendly and working hard. Just not enough of them. Under the circumstances I think they did pretty good. Food was as expected.

We went to a late breakfast with a group of ten family members. We were seated as soon as we arrived and our order was taken in a very timely manner. There were quite a few customers eating, but we received our food promptly and it was delicious. I had their Chicken fried steak and eggs. Everyone enjoyed their food, and the attention the waitress gave us. She kept our coffee cups and water glasses filled. At one point every table was filled and the waitress kept up with us. The food was awesome.....the service was exceptional and the waitress was friendly. We will eat there again when we are in Ontario.

We love this neighborhood bar and restaurant. We like to order a beer flight and add a food item to make a nice meal. The variety of beers is makes it fun to select various types. Have the staff explain the different offerings and where they are brewed. The food is very good as well. I have try the tri-tip sandwich, pulled pork tacos, and beef gyro and all were very tasty. The only negative is the French fries. They use an oilless cooking system. The fries are mind of dry and flavorless.Give this place a try and I think you will return often.

We went there for our anniversary dinner. Was not let down at all. I had the salmon with baby shrimp and a hoilday sauce on top of it. Hubby had the Spencer steak which was very tasty. Our meal came with a nice tossed salad with their house dressing with bread, aspargus with our choice of potatoe or rice. We each had a drink which was mixed just to our liking. Never disappointed eating here.

We are in Ontario for a couple days to register our car and wait for the snow storm to pass. We stopped here for dinner and was VERY happy with our meals. I had the blue cheese Ribeye steak and my wife had the coconut shrimp. Both meals were great. The staff was attentive and helpful. Thatâs great to hear! My husband and I went here for dinner on a Wednesday night. We enjoyed our meal which was a fondue of basil soup with a grilled cheese sandwich. Both were delicious. The atmosphere is quaint and the service was really good. Plus a nice selection of wines or beer. We will be back.

Mom and I had a lunch and a dinner here. The lunch was fantastic. The loaded baked potato and the enchilada soups are hot and yummy. My BLT had lots of bacon and tomatoes. Was really good. Went back several days later on our way through to have dinner. Had the meatloaf and a cup of soup. Again, both soups were really good. However, was really disappointed in the meatloaf. It was bland. Mom is convinced it wasn't fresh made. I had the mashed potatoes and she had roasted potatoes...both were okay. I don't know if I would recommend dinner, but their soups and sandwiches are really good.Dear valued customer,Thank you for taking your time to leave a online review. The carnitas tacos were the best ever. A combination of slightly sweet and savory. Our server, Taylor, listed to and answered my questions about gluten free food preparation. I was very impressed. I took a photo of my tacos with a bite out of a taco. LolMy husband had the dinner with amazing sauce. He doesn't have celiac so he can eat anything and everything and he does. Wingers is definitely one of our top favorites.

We were traveling through town and hotel recommended this place for a good steak dinner. Food was delicious. The problem was with service or really the lack of service. Wait person never checked back once we got our meal. Our bill was incorrect and it took 4 attempts before they got it correct.
