Tavern on 7 is just minutes away from where I live, and where I enjoy lunch dates with friends. It is somewhat of a 'sports bar' - i.e. television-watching at the bar for those who are following football games and suchlike; therefore, perhaps, it is SRO and perhaps 'loud' on weekends, or match game evenings...but, and MOST positively, I delight in the occasional mid-week lunch there. The friendly, efficient, attentive service is impeccable...likewise, my favorite dish, an utterly delicious Grilled Atlantic Salmon Salad. But the offerings on their entire menu are surely equally excellent! The service is lovely - friendly, thoughtful. Excellent house wines. All in all: the perfect lunch rendez-vous to catch up and share time with friends/loved ones.

I had dinner with three friends on a weekday. We sat at a high top table in the bar and Percy waited on us. We had a great dinner. We spent about three hours at the restaurant eating a lot of delicious food, drinking some great wine and just enjoying ourselves.I think my favorite part of the meal were the appetizers. We ordered the Burrata Salad (special of the night), the Sizzling Canadian Bacon and the Lemon Pepper Shrimp. The Burrata came on top of a thick sliced red onion and had little cherry tomatoes with basil and oil on top. Very fresh and very seasonal. The Bacon--OMG the bacon. Thick wedges of bacon that were seared until super crispy on the outside and just juicy on the inside. The Lemon Pepper Shrimp--they offered the entree version as an appetizer. Three HUGE pieces of shrimp with this awesome lemon sauce. Lick the plate clean good.Entrees. We ordered the Grilled Veal Chop, the Tenderloin Beef Medallions, the Lemon Pepper Shrimp entree and the Salmon Filet. For sides, we ordered the vegetable of the day (sauteed Brussels sprouts), sauteed spinach, asparagus and the sauteed onions. All were amazing--perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and piping hot, like it should be. Portion wise, I would say that four sides for four people was more than enough.After dinner, none of us could eat anymore food but we could find more room for more drinks! Percy was a great server--I don't think our glasses were ever empty. Empty plates were whisked away immediately. Food was paced out appropriately and we never felt rushed or questioned where our food was.Overall, this was an excellent dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Having been a fan of Sugar & Olives for a while and taking a cooking class there, I suggested it as the venue of my friend's baby shower in December, and we ended up choosing it. Jennifer and her team were excellent partners in planning the event, from suggesting delicious seasonal menu items to offering a fun, nonalcoholic drink option and even helping with the decorating on-site. The space is perfect for a shower (we had about 25 people) and everyone raved about the food and drink. I can't wait to go back for brunch or dinner soon :)

Food was very good and the lunch special was a bang for the buck. We had tacos and sandwiches and they come with soup/salad and sides. Very nice wait staff and fun environment. Will definitely return.

We had the great pleasure of dining last evening at Spread! What an incredible dinner- amazing appetizers and small plates. The seared scallops were fabulous, salads- terrific, chicken under a brick- Just Devine, served atop polenta that was sublime!Roasted Shrimp, Burrata salad was great too!Sunday is also 1/2 price for all wines under $100!The server was so nice, food amazing and ambiance - such fun. We would go again and again...a foodies delight! Norwalkâs historic district is a quaint and lovely destination!

We didnât make reservation and arrived on Fatherâs Day after spending the morning at the Maritime Aquarium (10 min. drive) in Norwalk. We were seated at a communal table which was just fine. What a fun dining room! Great ambience! The bottomless Prosecco mimosas were good. The grilled shishido peppers and fried calamari were underwhelming as they lacked flavor. My daughter refused to even sit near the plate of wings we ordered because she said, âit smells weird!â We quickly ate what we could and hiked it out of there. Itâs not a place we would return.

For a quick bite this was the solution...it will take you 20 min to read the menu they have everything...dinner for breakfast and breakfast for dinner....sandwiches to pot roast...even a milk shake....I love the eggs Benedict and my husband loves pancakes they make everything the best...the service is good and the food tasty And the price is perfect...Youâll love the retro look inside....

This was a great place to eat after going to the Maritime Center. Parking on the street was easy . The service was impeccable ! My guest was a vegan and they accommodated very well. Large portions, wonderfully prepared food! Truly enjoyed and will return!

As former (many moons ago) Rowayton residents, my wife and I were eager to try this restaurant. We were meeting friends for a Sunday lunch and looking forward to good food and catching up with our friends. We had a reservation for noon and showed up five minutes late. We were told we could eat on the porch but would have to be done by 1:00pm due to a large party they had booked. When we said we did not want to have be done by 1:00 we were put at a table by the door to the porch, which was busy with staff going in an out. We were the only ones in this small dining room. It didn't help that the main AC unit was evidently broken, so the wall and window units pointed at our table were cooling the entire restaurant (as explained by our waiter). After driving 1 1/2 hours to eat there we left. Why the person I made the reservation with a few days earlier didn't tell me our lunch had a tight time parameter I don't know. The young lady's we dealt with had no interest in helping us with options as to our dining experience with the restaurant.We found an excellent alternative in Norwalk and have no plans to return to The Restaurant at Rowayton Seafood.Royce,Thank you for taking the time to review The Restaurant. There was never a time parameter on your reservation so there was no need to mention that on the phone. The job of the host is to offer you all available tables. They offered you the table on the porch so you would have the option to sit there if youâd like. That table was going to be used for a large party so if you chose to sit there yes that specific table would have a time parameter in order to accommodate the party. We are currently working on getting our air conditioning system back up and running. In order to cool the restaurant we have to insert window units. If this was uncomfortable for you we do apologize and hope you understand this is a temporary solution. We hope youâll reconsider dining with us now knowing that you had no time restraints and the AC will be back to normal soon. Thank you.

My husband & I went to dinner for our anniversary and sat by the window next to the beautiful waterfall. Everything we ate was delicious, especially the Parmesan crusted halibut. Itâs crave-able! There is a train line that runs back there too, but it only passed by once in the 90 minutes we were there. Service was fabulous too!
