I was excited to go here after reading the reviews. Less excited by far after my breakfast wrap number one. The egg white wrap was healthy...just tasteless. Well...did taste of salt. Should have gone two doors down....would not recommend. Husband enjoyed his huge carrot muffin.

Nothing bad, nothing spectacular, just decent food, large portions, good service, reasonable prices. They have a variety of daily lunch specials that include soup and pudding in the $8 range. A better choice than fast food joints, especially if you want to sit down and be taken care of.

Well if you want good food and service this is your place for sure, however they definitely charge NYC pricing. For 4 people the bill was $430, and half of that was alcohol. The food was excellent cooked to perfection. Not sure what kind of overhead or rent their paying in the middle of New Jersey but if you’re looking for delicious food worth it.

Dined at this quaint Princeton sea food restaurant with some international colleagues on a Tuesday evening. The sidewalk tables were full so we dined indoors. Food selection of fresh fish was fantastic, as was the service. Many fresh fish were caught literally that day or the day before. They also own the sea food store next to the restaurant. Everything was great as far as the food (** This is a BYOB restaurant) but beware of the indoor seating when this place is packed. It is VERY LOUD to the point that we could not have a conversation across the table. It spoiled our dinner which otherwise was amazing. Please, Please install noise dampers on the walls or ceiling.

This is a good local restaurant/pub with a dedicated following. I've eaten there numerous times over the years. One of these days I would love to try their famous burgers, BUT they refuse to stock gluten-free rolls in spite of wait staff telling me they get requests every day for GF rolls and have told management as such. Burgers don't taste the same without a roll, so I have yet to have one. Note to management: Shoprite is 1/2 mile down the road -- go buy a package of GF rolls for goodness sake.Lack of GF rolls aside, the food is tasty and the wait staff accommodating. They have salmon and other options for GF folks. The restaurant itself is VERY noisy inside, but there is a small patio outside that is pleasant and quieter. Heat lamps outside in the transition seasons would be a wonderful addition. There is optional free valet parking (Thurs-Sat, I think) for those who want it, but there is usually parking on the street for those who eschew valets. For beer enthusiasts, you'll love the selection. All in all, a good, solid local restaurant.

I went here for the first time a few weeks ago for a holiday party, so my review isn't 100% the restaurant experience. But I still got to eat plenty of their food. The bread was OK. The pizza was very good -- including plain, buffalo chicken, and pepperoni. The cheese on it was very delicious and I'd definitely get that again. They also had a few chicken dishes, which were fine, and some kind of a nut tortellini, which was strange but good. But my overall favorite was the penne vodka, which was FABULOUS, the second best I've ever had anywhere. It was creamy and perfect, mixed with the right amount of everything. I ate way too much. They also gave a dessert tray. Everything looked good but I only tried the chocolate (maybe flourless?) cake, which was good and rich.We were in a party room in the back and everyone was very nice. The wait staff was great, the bathrooms are fine, and they kept the water coming. I will definitely be going back to try a regular meal.

Pierre's of South Brunswick

Choosing Pierre’s for our Mother’s Day brunch was a tremendous disappointment. Our family was impressed with the photos on line as well as the reviews we had read, but our experience and impression did not match our expectations. For starters, attention to details with presentation were surely lacking. Upon joining the buffet line, particle flecks were noticed on the stacks of plates. Rather than silverware provided at the table, there were two large open bins of forks and knives from which to gather utensils. No spoons?? Desserts laid out essentially in one large sheet are an open invitation to messiness and those less etiquette-refined grabbing with their hands.None of the chafing dish and self-serving food was labeled. Was that seafood dish jambalaya? Paella? Seafood Pilaf? What exactly is in that seafood or pasta salad? It looks like chucks of beef, but maybe it is lamb? Pork? Goat? Same thing holds for the desserts. What kind of chocolate cake is that? What is in the icing? Various breads piled up with no eye to appearance? No indication if it was sourdough, rye, whole grain, or whole wheat. For anyone with dietary restrictions or allergies, or those who just want to know what was served – labeling is essential. Ok, now on to food quality. The tomatoes in the salad were mushy-definitely not fresh. Viennese cookies also not fresh. Soft and not freshly made. Maybe left over from last weekend? Shrimp was overcooked. The meat and vegetable dishes? BLAND!! The chef needs an introductory course on seasonings and spices. Better food could be had at a Golden Corral buffet. Carving station meats were not warm, but at room temperature. And who slices prime rib like deli cold cuts? It is noted that the ham was very tasty. At a total cost of 35$ per person, a more professional presentation and higher quality food were expected.

Took my daughter and her boyfriend out to dinner. We were greeted well and shown to our table immediately; had made a reservation a few days ahead. The restuarant wasn't crowded and service was good. We all had the coffee encrusted steak at my daughter's suggestion. She had it during a previous visit and raved. Well turned out the steak was worth the price; enjoyed it tremendously. Atmosphere is fine if you have good company, otherwise a bit boring. But may have live music on the weekend, not sure. They do have a lovely double fireplace which can be utilized from the outside front area; nice for a few friends to gather in the fall for tapas or drinks.

Service was average at best....ended up getting the bottles and pouring our own wines as the staff was inattentive.....ordered a rare filet that came med well....a few of us had that issue with the steaks. Was going to bring it up to the staff, but they took forever to return. A very disappointing night......We truly appreciate your feedback because it helps us improve.
