What a change in this historic restaurant and bar. Yes this is the old Rock Bottom, but a completely new experience. The outside patio is completely new and is wonderful. Comfortable, friendly and a TV. Those of us that really enjoyed the menu will find that it really has not changed, only added some new items. Service was very friendly and really cared about our being there. As in any "new" place there were some minor challenges by the staff, but I am confident that these will go away in time.

I liked the ambiance; it was cozy, clean and pleasant. The food was excellent. They had a little of everything on the buffet. Everyone was amicable, professional and pleasant. I was sitting close by to a fountain that made the whole ambiance more relaxing and nice to be in. I will visit this place a lot more often.

This is a place where you walk down a line and tell counter help what you want and they make everything to your liking from a hundred of choices while you observe. We opted to try both a salad and a pizza to share. The small pizza was more than enough for two and we brought home two slices. It was freshly made and baked in a matter of minutes and the salad as well. As for the salad this is just my preference and opinion. I did not like the concept. They add all ingred of your choice to a humongous metal bowl, add salad drsg and then they chop chop chop all into fine pieces. Next time I will request no chopping. I have my teeth and like actual pieces of lettuce not shreds of cucumber, artichokes and the 20 other things I added lol. Quick fresh delicious and all made to order. Please note no table service or table delivery

I recently had lunch here with a group of friends. The service was attentive and the food was good. I had a sandwich wrap with fries. It was tasty and was of the quality that you could get at most any restaurant of this caliber. I ordered coffee with my meal.My server asked if I would like a refill, and I said yes, I would like a warmup. She came back with a new coffee cup and filled it. When I received my check, I was surprised to find that I was charged for two cups of coffee! I paid this charge without comment, since I was dining with friends. I tipped only 15%, instead of my usual 20%. I was quite taken by this charge, which is very unusual in local restaurants. I realized that it was not the server's fault, and was with the fault of management. I had to respond in some way.Given the fact that there is so much restaurant competition along this stretch of Transit Road in Amherst, I do hope that management addresses this problem. This upcharge for coffee is very unusual and will prevent me from suggesting restaurant as a venue for a friends gathering.Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that your food and service was positive with the one exception, as far as the double charge for the coffee that was a mistake on the servers part because we do not charge for refills. We would like to sincerely apologize for the server making that mistake and would love to talk to you if you have a chance please call the restaurant at 716-688-4479 at you convenience. Please ask for Justin (the owner). Took the hubby for steak on his birthday. I had the pretzel crusted chicken. Both were excellent. Service great too. If you like bourbon, scotch, and Canadian or American whiskey, there is a large selection. All food coming out to other tables looked great too. Definitely a keeper on our list. Chesters offers great food in a casual atmosphere at very reasonable prices! We love the gumbo, the casadea, the crawfish,and all their dinners- especially the prime rib special on Saturday! They also offer non-spicy foods like their fish fry, burgers, fingers, and great salads! It's our go-to casual restaurant.

I have been going here forever and before when it was downtown. Owner a Long Island native who obviously knows the deli business. Great quality subs/heroes. My only gripe is them using Costanzas sub rolls. Soft and no texture/flavor.That would never fly in a New York deli. It would be great if they could find rolls like they make in DiBellas. Business doing fine as is, so not likely to change .

First visit but definitely not the last. There were so many inviting entrees it made picking one difficult. We tried 3 different burgers, all cooked as requested, juicy and piled high with variety of different toppings. Chicken Caprese...enough for a 2nd meal and Black & Blue Steak salad, tender & delicious. Also, a nice children's menu and a very extensive draft beer menu.

I have been here on numerous occassions typically with a party of 6. Everyone has enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. Those that ordered steak were raving about the quality and preparation.
