First time visit, the hostess was pleasant and seated us quickly. The waitress tried to have as little interaction as possible. Once our order was taken it took a long time for food to arrive. The food was average-nothing special and was only warm. Again, I think a waitress issue. A refill had to be requested as did the check. I was surprised this place is listed as fast food, it was anything but....

My family and I were looking for a place to eat in Flowood and decided to try Half shell. We were very pleased with everything. New Orleans atmosphere, cajun cooking and great service. Our waitress Dorthea was attentive and prompt. Our 2 kids loved the food the food as much as we did. We will definitely return.

The place is nice, as was our waitress. The food was terrible, except for the fried chicken. The buffet serving staff was rude and unhelpful. The food was bland at best, the Mac and cheese was terribly grainy, the pork chops were leather, the chicken and dumplings was just gravy, no meat, biscuits were musty tasting, etc. , and we had to wait 10 minutes for the chicken. The menu said fried green tomatoes, but they werenât on the buffet, and the same for the cornbread. The desserts were edible. A generally aggravating experience.Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We always want our customers to leave happy with their dining experience. I have passed your thoughts on to our chef so that we can address it with our staff. I hope that in the future you will give us the chance to change your mind as we usually only get raving reviews on our buffet food.

In general I like Sonnys, but this wasn't one of their better efforts. I had 3 different waitresses and none of them coordinated anything. The food took 25 minutes to come to the table, the order was wrong and when they brought the pulled pork to the table, it was a very small serving: about what's in a regular can of tuna. Again, I usually like Sonnys but not this time. They wasted my time and I got very little bbq for my money. Not sure if I will return.

This is a great neighborhood café, a little off the beaten path but worth going. The food was really good, but the service was terrible. It took 15 minutes to get waited on and 45 minutes for the food to be served. And there weren't that many people in the café at that time of the morning. We felt they needed more cooks. They were friendly, the place was clean and the staff very nice. We will go again. We also spent $35 for two simple breakfast which we thought was high cost.

I stopped n Labor Day at the outside bar. It was very nice views of the reservoir and had a tropical like atmosphere. Lots of friendly people and servers. The food was good and reasonably priced. I would recommend the outside bar because of the atmosphere!Hi, Norman! We really appreciate these compliments. Thank you for taking the time to let us know that you enjoyed our view, atmosphere, service, and food! Thank you, also, for recommending our tiki bar. We have recently enclosed it with a clear, vinyl, heated tent, making it comfortable for year-round use! We hope to see you back at Shaggy's very soon!

Roast beef sandwich was good but pricy for a glorified sandwich shop. There are lots of menu items to choose from but I have to say I'm not impressed with food to cost ratio. I feel like it's over priced for what you receive. Restaurant was very clean and staff was eager to help. Overall it's not a bad choice and food is good.
