It has been a few years since I've been here and although they are making some great outdoor upgrades in patio, etc for the summer, I was disappointed in the food and service. Just getting a table seemed to be a lot of confusion for not a full evening.Our server, Liz, was good, so kudos to her.We pretty much all got burgers. They were ok but it seems that The Rock now gets preformed patties instead of handmade. These were ok, but the texture wasn't great and they were a little greasy. The specialty burgers really didn't have any distinctive taste so you're better off with just the basic cheeseburger.It's still a nice place with a great location on the river, but I think they have a lot more in them on the food to give. Let's hope they can bring it back up.

We had an average meal -- mediocre steak and a decent chicken breast. But our server, Aimee, was super. She was efficient, pleasant and delightful to talk to. Made the meal very enjoyable. Restaurant was across the parking lot from out hotel, so that was convenient.

Had the Shrimp & Scallop Saute served w/ fresh veggies over pasta. The shrimp were rubber, the scallops had no color, it had a couple strips of bell pepper, a couple tiny pieces of broccoli and maybe a piece of onion. Not exactly sure what it was sauteed in as it had no flavor what so ever!! My husband had the steak and fried shrimp combo the steak had no seasoning whatsoever, no salt, no pepper, nothing. The shrimp were basic fantail fried shrimp. The place was packed not sure if it was because it was the Saturday before mother's day or what but the crowd was mainly senior citizens which may explain the lack of flavor. I use to go as a kid and in high school 25 years ago for fish with family. I don't think I would return after this visit.

I have had two terrific meals here in the last year, unfortunately I have eaten here three times! The third time wasn't horrible or anything, but we talked it up and took a guest. We wish we had not talked it up quite so much. The problems we experienced included a bottle of wine that replaced the one we ordered for the same price, but then the replacement had a much lower retail price (and taste), a steak cooked to the wrong temperature, and very poor chocolate lava cake. We should have been leery about any chocolate lave cake that pops out quickly from the kitchen after the order.

Think there has been a chane of management or something, went there expecting the good food they were famous for. New menus, new prices Menu has fewer choices and daily specials were not that interesting. Amount of food we got was less than they have been giving and prices were higher. Just not the same.

My wife and I decided to try Jerry's from the reviews on TripAdvisor. It did not disappoint! I had chicken fried steak and poached eggs. It was accompanied by hash browns that I added onions to and my wife had the farmer's market benedict. They both were delicious and perfectly prepared. Coffee was plentiful and the service was friendly and helpful. We will return soon. Glad we found this on TA.

As a group of six, we stopped in the early evening for the lower level bar but found it was closed for a private event. As a consequence, we headed to the upstairs bar. Service was unnecessarily slow and it was very difficult to be served. At one point management appeared to notice and asked the bartender if she needed help, but it was declined. We left unhappy rather than stay for a second round.

My wife and I stay 100% committed to our modified keto (Bulletproof) diet, and as such threre are few options available outside of major metropolis cities.In the tiny town of Beloit, WI, there is an organic, grass-fed meat eatery on the brick-paved section of State Street. Bushel and Pecks is an incredible place to get a quick meal.We ordered paleo burgers and needed a tiny alteration as the salad comes with vinaigrette, which is not on our food paradigm. They substituted lemon wedges on the salad. We also ordered the burgers without cheese, and they accommodated that as well. If you like hot sauce, they have an in-house bottled brand that is keto friendly and delicious.Browse their book section while you are there as well.

Traveling from MN to GA and read the review so decided to find it. Love the downtown of Beloit. Buildings all well kept. This restaurant was hopping. We were able to sit outside and enjoy a beautiful summer evening. Food and service were great.

Had dinner at a business meeting here.The atmosphere is comfortable, elegant but still casual.The breads and salad were very good.The steaks are the draw, well seasoned and cook perfectly. The 10 oz filet was tender and flavorful. They offer a variety of sides too, potatoes and vegetables. We unfortunately could not handle any desserts but they all sounded wonderful.
