Patrice (Frenchman- owner, chef, waiter, chief cook and bottle-washer), is an extraordinary person and his small restaurant (24 seats - be sure to reserve in advance) serves delicious French cuisine, all with a touch of Jack Daniels. The three-course Menu is a bargain - foie gras and lamb shank were outstanding -even the dessert has Jack Daniels. Patrice is quite the fun character - be prepared to relax and have fun.

Our place is the ground floor of a village house of 1900 th, it's an old granger which was first transform into a brocante and then into restaurant in wich we've kept the charming vintage look, the tables and chaires are all différentes, there's a bookshop
Le Petit Troc, set in a little square in the centre of the village, is wonerfully relaxed place, where you can get good coffee, tapas, and on occasion a bespoke breakfast (ok, it was only a warmed baguette, butter and jam, but it was good of them to make the effort). It' always busy, which is usually a good sign!

We were recommended Villa 29 by our excellent hotel, Les Arceaux. It as an excellent recommendation. The restaurant is lovely, the food was tasty, the owners were delightful, the ambiance was relaxing. We strongly recommend that a visit to Montpelier should include a meal at this superb delight.the portions are generous. The 5 tapas make a full meal. The burger with goat cheese is just wonderful.

His is unique local genuine French restaurant mnged by a Husband and Wife team. The food was outstanding even though the choices are limited. The Frogs Legs were delicious as we're all the plates we chose, I particularly enjoyed my veal. It was a special food experience that we will highly recommend to all. You need to book to be sure of your seat. This is not a noisey tourist overcrowded loud established but a genuine French experience not to be missed.

Despite having little knowledge of the French language and a vegetarian for company the host was very welcoming and provided an enjoyable meal for both meat eaters and vegetarians. It may be located in a warehouse but don't let the exterior put you off. The interior was very well presented and included original art on the walls. It suited us as we were staying at the nearby Campanile hotel and we didn't want the standard fare on offer.Take the tram into Montpellier from the nearby tramstop. Excellent value at E2.5 for a return ticket.

Suggested by our hotel (Domaine du Biar) this restaurent was close by and food, wine and service was good. We had some difficulties finding the place even with TomTom, as we drove a bit too far and in the dark couldn't find it but then when we came back we saw the sign.We were maybe a bit undressed (as were most of the guests as well) for this place because it was very nice inside, and food was if not fine-dining then at least very-good dining.

My boyfriend took me to this restaurant and as son as you walk in, the 2 owners make you feel welcome. The decor is very cosy and fabulous at the same time. The food is to die for, very French and gastronome. I never eat desert but I tempted myself with their specialty - the Tiramisu with berries and speculos biscuit. It was THE best tiramisu I have ever eaten! Anyway, not pricey, very good food, great service, a Must visit in the region!
