Mario and his Mum served fantastically good food to 19 of us on a short visit to Mont Choisy. He insisted we checked his van and kitchen for cleanliness. The food was absolutely delicious and worth waiting for. Great value and taste. We had the noodles, burgers, calamari, rice, samosas, chicken, chips cold beers and ice tea. All served with smiles and yes would go again and again. Leave a large tip as you will be saving loads of money!

I have been passing this place for quite some time now and always wanted to try it out. Well, I finally did for a quick lunch and I left as a very happy customer. It's a small place with limited selection but all the foods are prepared with lots of dedication and skill. It's very much delicate home cooking and a nice change from all the other restaurants in the area.... for once i left a restaurant on the island without feeling bloated and full.
Next will try breakfast ....

We had dinner at Stephanie Restaurant, early one evening and found the staff friendly and keen to please you. The fish was fresh but iver cooked but the salad made up for that. Nice and fresh and loads of it.Good value to.

No, the #36 is not a room number but one should admit that it was clever naming our restaurant like this: it then becomes the natural extension of the 35 hotel rooms (hence the name!). Here, it's like in our rooms we relax, we rest, but thanks to the restaurant, we especially eat what we want when we want it: the card will suits your desires of the moment, there is no menu plan, this is just like home. And the passer-by loves to stop by for a coffee or to enjoy a dessert: get to know each other!

We had a great day here, starting from a buffet lunch which was good value for money although nothing exciting. However we got the chance to spend the day by the pool and next to the beach and enjoy some great cocktails! The location and staff are excellent and would definitely like to come back!

Ajay, the Owner and manager, shows off his winning personality in the decor of Refresh. I love this kind of place. Sorta Margaritaville meets Indian Ocean- chalkboards with funny remarks, tiki lamps, painted wine bottle flower displays, table and chairs that don't match (but they still all work together), and more. And may I say how WONDERFUL the music was?????? Hallelujah because if I hear Michael Jackson and Killer one more time.......
My husband and I had walked a couple of km along the beach from Trou aux Biches to Mon Choisy and arrived at Refresh by dark. There were no cabs to hail or call by the time we finished dinner... and GET THIS!!! Ajay drove us home himself!! Talk about winning service. He already had me as a sure returnee. Now it's a definite done-deal.
I had an octopus salad and it hit the spot. The expresso was Italian. Mauritian coffee is weak and nothing to rave about so this was a delightful post-meal offering!
