Last time were at this restaurant we thought it was not as good as it used to be so we decided to try it again just in case things had improved.
However things had not improved. Only thing that had changed was the menu prices had gone up and the service was so inexperienced we nearly walked out.
Young waitresses were pleasant but gave us the impression they had just been hired for the night. They knew nothing about the menu items and had difficulty even operating the electronic ordering system.
Food was good but very over priced. Not value for money.
Friday night but very few dinning guests. Maybe a sign Limani's days are numbered.
With so many good restaurants in the area we will not be back.

Set on the stunning shores of Pittwater, The Newport is a vibrant gathering place for all ages. Nestled amongst idyllic Gardens, and incorporating various outdoor dining spaces and bars, the sprawling grounds include areas perfect for whiling the day and night away. Crafted by Executive Chef Sebastien Lutaud, and pizza maestro Vincenzo Biondini, The Newport's diverse marketplace of food experiences include Australian grass-fed beef burgers, ever-classic fish and chips, wood-fired pizzas, and a wide range of fresh salads. As well as an extensive wine, beer and cocktail list, fresh juices, smoothies, milkshakes, and freshly-brewed coffee by Sydney roasters Will & Co. For children and the young at heart, The Newport features a games area reminiscent of a vintage gymnasium - think badminton, ping pong, a giant magnetic Scrabble board, and exercise bikes that can charge mobile phones. The Newport also offers an exciting programme of free events and activities, with live music at the heart of the entertainment experience. One of the most iconic venues in the country, The Newport is a historic destination that embraces the natural beauty of The Northern Beaches and the generous spirit of the local community.
We took our friends to Newport Arms for lunch on Sunday. There were 4 of us and we all ordered the grilled fish and chips at a cost of $29.00 each. The fish was very dry and was completely tasteless. It came with chips and nothing else not even a little bit of salad. There was a small dish of pesto which did not go with the fish. For what is cost I think it was the worst meal and a big rip off.

We have visited Armchair collective numerous times & have always loved the whole lunchtime experience.
The ambience & decor is very attractive which makes it very appealing for dining. Our lunch was delicious & coffee excellent too.
The Armchair collective cafe is located at the end of Darley Road just opposite Mona Vale Beach.

I’m usually a big fan of barbuto, but not on this occasion. It’s been few months since our last visit and seems like maybe the owners have changed.
We came for a lunch at a not too busy time, we ordered a carafe of wine except it seemed to have been forgotten, we had to remind them.
The table was sticky, my arms were stuck to it as was the napkin which when I lifted it it was partially attached to the table. The ketchup pot was also stuck and when I went to lift it due to the resistance it went over the table.
But what topped off the disaster of this visit had to be that my favourite dish the affogato had had its vanilla bean ice cream replaced by an inferior product. I look forward to the vanilla bean ice cream and it was no more. As maybe my future visits.

Since first surprising the Northern Beaches by bringing decent coffee in a cool setting to Newport in 2011 Zubi has never failed to deliver.
Every time we visit Newport we stop here for coffee, and over dozens of visits during the past 6 years there's never been a bad coffee. Food and coffee is delivered quickly, and being able to chill out in the garden out back with a paper and coffee is one of the absolute highlights of a weekend in the Northern Beaches.

We arrived early, without making a reservation and were seated at the last available table. Our meal was standard fare. My lasagna was tasteless, with my son likening it to tinned spaghetti. The meal came out lightening fast - obviously management wanted to seat more guests. Won't hurry back.

Second review.
I don't come here very often. Only because it is always so excessively busy. Good sign for them. Not so great for me. I find the busy atmosphere overwhelming and stressful. Hardy relaxing.
Anyway visited a few weeks ago for a coffee, and an egg & bacon roll.
Heart sank a little when saw the brioche bun (NO NO WHY), but overall it wasn't as sweet as some I have had.
I absolutely hate this horrible trend of using sweet Brioche buns for savoury dishes. A plain white bap works much better.
Anyway, the egg & bacon roll was actually very delicious. The relish and rocket helped to really balance it out and disguise any sweetness from the bun. As Brioche buns go, it was the pick of the bunch.
Coffee was lovely too. Although not as good as I remember from 2016.
It was intensely busy at 7am. Next time I will just get a takeaway.

It was a pleasure to return after a little over a year to the Northern Beaches. Jeremy, the owner, as well as Maddie and the other servers, were very pleasant and helpful. The food was AMAZING! We returned many times during our brief visit to the area. I highly recommend eating here! If you can't find a parking spot, you can always use the parking garage by the Coles across the street.

LOVE IT
This is my second review. I have eaten here every single week on a Friday since my first review. Which is nearly two years ago. Which goes to show how good the place is.
It did go downhill for a few months. I mean it was still great, but not as good as it once was.
The problem seemed to be a change of staff.
There was a tall young woman there with blond hair. She was brilliant at making the salads. Then she left. And obviously, the people filling her place did not know the recipe combinations, as well as she did.
So I would get the same salad as always did, but each week it would taste slightly different. Whereas previously, it would be consistently the same.
Once they completely forgot to put the sauce in, and another they put something that should not have been there. The one I had last month was overly sweet.
This downhill spiral went on for about four months whilst staff seemed to chop and change.
But I think they are now getting back to the good old days, as recent salads have been spot on again.
So glad they now have Eftpos facilities, as the cash only arrangement was annoying.
It is a very very popular place. I only wish they opened late night Thursdays and Sundays.
It is still my favourite place to eat on The Northern Beaches.
I also went to the Manly one, but the staff are much more friendlier at the Mona Vale one.

Highly recommended for a quick Japanese feed. Eat here regularly for lunch and it's faultless every time. The bento box has a great variety for an affordable price and you can't go wrong with any of the donburi options.
