This restaurant is in my top 2 favorite Japanese Steak houses in this area. The people are very friendly and I have never had to wait. Come a little early at dinner and you'll be seated quickly. Great tasting food and decent pricing. They love to put on a show at their hibachi tables. Mixed drinks are available from their well stocked bar. You will enjoy this restaurant that is located in a small strip mall. You will definitely leave full.

Our first trip to the Doeâs location was a home run. Saturday night before New Yearâs Eve. It was about half full. The restaurant is small and has a neighborhood style, friendly atmosphere. Thereâs a fun serve-yourself beer fridge with a great selection of local beers, pale ales, imports. Even has chilled glasses and mugs. We sat quickly and waiter was superb. Menu is pretty simple, a few appetizers, a few entrees. Standard Doeâs classics. We started with crab cakes which were perfect. Good crab meat and flavor. Delicious. Followed by two classic Doeâs salads. She had the filet which was perfectly medium rare and delicious. One of the best filets Iâve tasted. I had the ribeye (49$ but huge!)The steaks have a perfect sear, and are served in a plate of au jus steak drippings. Itâs the perfect way to serve a good steak. No had mine served with fried shrimp with their ât-rexâ sauce which was a great compliment. We finished with the pecan pie. It was easily the best pecan pie weâve ever had. Overall, exceptional service, exceptional food. A huge thumbs up and we will definitely go back.

After hearing about and talking to people about this place, my friends and I decided to go. Mind you, one of my friends has been taking clients there, but itâs been because the clients want to âbe impressedâ.Lots of patrons, but the front door staff is unorganized. We 4 slipped in and were seated by some guy in a t-shirt.....The crawfish tails were really good and the marinated crab claws were good; bread was available.The server was not aware of what was available so ordering was delayed. The salads came and the dressings were good.The bone-in filets came with the sides. The filets were cold. My friend actually asked why my filet had NO juices showing and the server said that was because I ordered artichokes heart as my topping.I have never seen a medium rare filet served DRY! It was pink and it was red in the center and just as dry as a paper towel!!The creamed spinach was cold and was microwaved spinach with cheese melted on top; inedible! The ai gratin type potatoes were the same- potatoes in a dish with cheese melted on top....patheticIn no way is this acceptable; let alone at $100.00 plus per plate! NO WAY!

Great food, great service, great experience I had the shrimp and tomato app, and Steak with mushrooms . The app was unbelievable, can't wait to go back! Went to Tico's with family (they reside in Brandon) and had a great steak with excellent service.Andre's in Naples, Bern's in Tampa and the Palm in Charlotte are three of my favorite steak houses and, now, Tico's in Ridgeway is added to the list.The 15 - 18 oz. NY strip was cooked perfectly (rare / med. rare) and was served on a sizzling hot platter. It was juicy and very, very tasty -- thicker than I expected, which added to the proper cooking. We had au gratin potatoes and onion rings as sides -- both of which were excellent. My brother had the pork chop and is wife had the shrimp scampi -- both of which they raved about!

We went to Shapleyâs tonight for the first time in several years. It was great. The tamales were as good as I remembered the crawfish tails were great as was the reddish. Service was great. Our server Mallory was on top of everything and the pace of the meal was great. Glad to see the Shapley family back running this restaurant.
