Excellent delivery. The usual impenetrable conversation with restaurant during ordering wasn't bad at all. They were professional (strong accent) but well practiced in getting the order correct and repeating everything to confirm. The delivery was relatively quick. The delivery man professional and polite. The food was delicious. Usually the menus handed out by hotel front desks are for mediocre restaurants that stay open late. I was pleasantly surprised when I checked trip advisor that it had 4 out of 5 stars. I give it 5 out of 5. The summer rolls where crisp inside the outside not gummy at all. The Singapore rice noodle was SO MUCH FOOD! But so delicious I couldn't help but eat almost all of it by myself. My only complaint is that the rice noodle said - spicy - but it wasn't. I would have like d more heat but it was flavorful. Same with the peanut sauce for the summer rolls. I'd order from there again without a doubt but would ask them to up the spiciness.

I like spicy Szechewan dinners with lots of heat. My kids like the equivalent of Chinese chicken McNuggets. This is one of the few restaurants where we all have exactly what we want and generally take home enough for lunch the next day. This is a family run place that seems to draw the Asian population of the city--every time I go there's conversation in another language at the next table. The staff are courteous and the place is crispy clean. Both the lunch and dinner menus include soup to start with a choice of chicken noodle or the excellent hot and sour soup, both with tender julienned carrots.Entrees come with a choice of chicken wing or wontons and brown or white rice. For the past five years I've been there at least weekly for lunch. Two of us order and the bill is about $13 total. They cheerfully box up leftovers that are plenty for dinner, and we're not people with modest appetites. Like many of the great neighborhood places, the exterior is nothing special. It's sandwiched between a Perkins and the Lebanese restaurant, which is also quite good. But you can't miss it; it's located right on Robert Street, the major thoroughfare and about 7 minutes south of downtown St Paul.

Well, it looks like this place is a spot for a buffet. BUT if you place a delivery order like I did the food is awful. I ordered shrimp lo mein, house soup for two and the special dumplings. All 3 were tasteless! I guess the money is in the buffet and they could care less about any other orders. I was staying at a hotel so, they must have figured I won't be back. How true that is! Even though I visit this community often. Stay away if you expect decent food for an individual order. Their focus is obviously on the buffet only.

This used to be my favorite Asian buffet in the Twin Cities. I ate here in November and again in December and couldn't believe how the place has changed for the worse. In November, around 11:30 in the morning, the sushi was already dried out. Seemed like it was leftovers from the night before. When I saw their usual giant bowl of tasteless wasabi, there was an area on the top that looked like mold. When I mentioned to the waitress that their wasabi had gone bad, she brought the guy from behind the front desk to look at it along with the sushi chef. Their solution? It was stirred up and they brought me a bowl of it declaring that it was fine. Would you eat it? Not me! In December around 11:40 in the morning we hit the buffet only to find that much of the food was still cold. Not luke warm, cold. They must have forgotten to turn the tables on or opened later than normal. The areas around the food trays also looked like it hadn't been cleaned that day. I wouled like to see the health department make a surprise visit to this place. I mentioned to the girl working behind the front desk that their wasabi had no heat and no flavor whatsoever. She told me that people that eat sushi don't like hot wasabi. News to me. When I was leaving, the Mexican sushi chef had removed his rubber gloves and was shaking the sweat out of them and propping them up upside down near the sushi he was making to dry them out. You can do a LOT better! We're sorry that you were not impressed this time around. We can assure you that the sushi is made fresh. Regarding the wasabi, we don't control how spicy it is. If you want more spicy, we'd recommend adding the spicy mayo sauce. However, we DO apologize for the poor way of how the staff handled the situation. We will speak to them about this matter and make sure it doesn't happen again. Tokyo 23 Team

Still okay food but used to be way better they seem to keep food out awhile so need to learn what times they refresh food - you can ask for a fresh order but you will wait. The service is great.
