Reviewed By Venture29738014818Sophisticated ambiance in rural Methoni and an exceptional hotel staff aimed to please. It’s our second time here and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Methoni Castle , the beach and town square is very close walking distance. Just a ten min drive away is Pykos - another charming town with a vibrant town square surrounded by boutique stores, restaurants and views of the ocean coastline. An hour further is the excavation of Ancient Messini and it’s museum. Certainly worth the drive to explore this amazing historical site.

It is outside town , a 10 minute walk to the sea and another 10 minutes to Methioni.We had a car so getting around was easy. Great place to chill and relax. Highly recommended

In a very convenient spot near the sea and generally all the restaurants, cafe's and attractions. It's not lux or anything.But it has whatever a person needs for a comfortable stay. Totally recommended for families who want a peaceful stay.The hotel is owned by a family and they are very friendly and helpful. If you want a cheap stay at Methoni, then visit this hotel.

It is a situated on the 4th klm of Methoni-Finikounda road, on the beautiful "Lampes" beach and offers an enchanting view on the noussae complex, which consists of three deserted islets(Sapientza, Schiza, and Aghia Marina). On the beach we offer free umbrellas, sunbeds and a unique launch bar.

Reviewed By MarinaviatThis hotel has an amazing location which makes it the perfect spot for a family. Our daughter enjoyed the super nice beach and the gorgeous water. The hotel stuff was very friendly and they all tried their best to accommodate us in every need. Free buffet American style breakfast with a lot of choices. Everyday cleaning from a great hostess who did everything possible to make our stay super comfort. Walking distance to the beach and the only bummer was the crossing of the main road. Needless to say you have to try the ice coffee on the beach and also the delicious chicken club sandwich. The bar by the beach offers all kinds of drinks and cool snacks with affordable prices, which made us stay all day long. Nikos Maria and George are the the owners who provide excellent customer service to any need. Our three year old daughter fell in love with them since they all took care of her every day. We will definitely go back again next summer if not earlier than that. The price of the rooms and what you get makes it a great deal.

Reviewed By CaliTexan22The hotel's chief virtue is it's location, on the beach and immediately adjacent to the fort. It is old and tired. Our shower was broken. The wifi only worked in the lobby. There is no A/C. The breeze was sufficient, but with no screens for 2 of the 3 windows, we were covered with mosquito bites after two nights there. Our group of 20 were the only ones there. Breakfast was OK, and there are good restaurant choices for dinner a short walk away.

Reviewed By L3275SPpaolasThe Hotel is in a very quiet area, 2 minutes from the public beach. The owner and her daughter Elefteria are amazing and helpful people ready to accommodate any of your requests. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and cleaned every day. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location and good value if you're OK with an old hotel room
Reviewed By Pietro_NeroPros: - relatively good value, given the period we visited - simple, clean rooms - decent balcony with a view - The location is superb, very close to the main square and the beach - the manager was very friendly and offered a number of suggestions for places to visit as well as advice to enjoy our stay. Cons: - very old style/decoration, it could use an in-depth renovation. It's a shame because of the excellent location and basic structure of the rooms (wooden beams on the ceiling, inlet stones on the walls). The bathroom is particularly disappointing; however, I should admit that the pictures are accurate so there is no attempt to deceive guests. Moreover, I would expect the cost to rise dramatically in the case of a renovation. - the hotel is reminiscent of social tourism programmes from the 1980s - the furniture and appliances are similarly outdated.

Reviewed By mariosf310My wife and I visited Methoni at the beginning of August and chose Foinikas hotel for our 1 night in town. Even though the hotel looks well kept in the pictures, it is not. During our stay we were never able to use the internet of our hotel, but the one of Achilles Hotel which is right across the street. They made a story up-the municipality is doing some works and we are out of service. Funny how all the hotels and restaurants around it had a 5/5 signal. The phone was out of service as well. When asked, the receptionist’s answer was “yeah I don’t think it works”. The room itself was dirty and full of rust at certain parts of it. The fridge was a source of infection as it was old and rusty. The bathroom was covered in dust and stains; never mind the holes on the walls. Another excuse came after all of this had been addressed to the so-called Front Desk. They disinfect the rooms daily and the tiles got destroyed. A daily disinfection but the fridge has somehow managed to escape and retain its filthy condition. The following morning we visited the breakfast buffet which was only holding us another surprise. All of the food displayed without a single cover on any of it. This is unacceptable to see and experience during the times we are going through atm. We skipped breakfast and left asap. We messaged the establishment as we wanted to share our comments with higher management and requested a 50% discount on the room rate as we did spend the night there. The owner came back with an answer that took us by surprise. We were asked to remove our initial review and only then we would receive a partial refund. After a few minutes of confrontation, he caved and requested for a bank account of ours. Another lie came only a week after. There was a problem with their IBAN and they couldn’t process any transfers. We are truly not interested in a refund anymore. We firmly believe that such hotels SHOULD NOT BE OPERATING at all. Management that pays no respect to their customers and have the least knowledge on authentic hospitality. Owners that demand 100€ for a basic room and want to offer as little as possible. A half renovated room with a thin and hollow door you could hear everything happening around you. Avoid this place at all costs. Pay a visit to the hotel across the street that seems to offer what they advertise.
