The freshly prepared fish is second-to-none in quality. You can pick your fresh fish from what has been caught (according to weight) and it is prepared by the chefs to your taste. The breadrolls are also highly recommendable. The staff is very friendly and not tired of answering any question on the local fish. The restaurant is charming and the outside terrace - next to the sea - beautifully set up with beach chairs, etc. It was definitively the best fish dish we had within a 10-day stay. Don't miss it- you won't regret it at all!

Food was lovely, prosecco a bit flat but I didn't want to spoil my families evening so didn't say anything. Humour of the waiter serving us might be a bit like Marmite we enjoyed it.Vielen Dank !Wir entschuldigen uns bei Ihnen !Beim nächsten Besuch geht der Prosecco aufs Haus .Mfg

Von AuÃen extrem unscheinbar aber von innen nett und urig. Futtern wie bei Muttern trifft es hier am besten. Bauernfrühstück und Schnitzel sind an der Tagesordnung. Gute Portionen mit viel Geschmack ohne Firlefanz! Und das für den kleinen Euro! Traut euch. Es lohnt sich!!!

We had a bit of an awkward entrance here, running into a downright unfriendly staff member at the reception desk. Admitted he changed his way after we bounced back at him and he remained - suddenly - remarkably friendly during the rest of our stay. Nothing wrong with the hotel room, nothing remarkable either, just good. The low humming air conditioning is very noticeable throughout the building though - and even far outside - and is only stopped at 23:00, a bit annoying. Nice, experienced female staff at the restaurant, both for dinner and breakfast. By all means walk outside to the left and follow the beach path through the woods for some amazing sights!

Passing time in this quaint little town on the S.Eastern shore of Rugen Island, I used Google Maps to find this brightly painted up-market looking fish restaurant. It was already into the afternoon and I was the only customer! The waiter spoke good English and was very helpful as I trundled in with a large suitcase and rucksack. Was appreciative of a nice cool beer and ordered their fish and chips just checking it WAS battered fish. When it came I looked around to see if anyone had joined me at the table! It was easily enough for two!! Delicious though it was I really couldnât manage all of it. During my meal several other people arrived and it got quite busy. So maybe Saturday is a late eating tradition on Rugen Island. The meal proved enough to provide sustenance on the five pm ferry to Sweden! The restaurant is on the main road and I would definitely recommend.

The Panorama Hotel is set in a fantastic cliff top location close to Jasmund National Park with stunning views right across to Kap Arkona on the north of the island.The staff were most friendly and welcoming. We were welcomed by the owner Herr Ogilvie and check in was quick and efficient. Our room was large and comfortable as were the beds.We were offered a table for dinner in the conservatory, facing west, so we enjoyed some spectacular sun-sets. The food was top rate, perfectly cooked and presented, with a large selection to choose from.Highly recommended, but remember to bring cash as they do not accept credit cards!

Das Essen in der Seekiste in Lohme ist wie immer gut, der Service arbeitet schnell und ist sehr freundlich.Was getan muss endlich mal an der Inneneinrichtung, die erinnert an alte DDR Zeiten.Das ist nicht mehr zeitgemäà und ungemütlich.Wir kommen dennoch gern wieder, aber im Sommer da kann man drauÃen sitzen.

We came there twice. Both times very friendly staff in the restaurant. Not much time to wait in a well decorated restaurant. View over fields with dear and other animals. Food was excellent.quality and enough ( even without starter and dessert ). Price really cheap. Location close to the major atraction ( white cliff ). If you eat there, you can park your car on the restaurant parking lot, when you go to the white cliff after the meal ( save you 3,50 ⬠). We will come again.

I had the great pleasure of dining at Restaurant Am Meer nearly every evening for 2-1/2 weeks. The menu has a nice variety -- enough to suit anyone's tastes.I particularly enjoyed the Kalbsschnitzel (veal schnitzel) and the Rindersteak USA Prime Beef. Top it off with a nice bottle of wine? Maybe the Schoko-Soufflè (chocolate soufflé)?!All of the food is of high quality, very well prepared, and very nicely presented. Clearly, the Chef and his team take great pride in their work. They should. They do great work! (And, the prices are very fair.)The restaurants seats about 30 guests inside and about the same number of guests outside on the terrace (overlooking the sea). Reservations are definitely recommended. Keep in mind, the weather in Lohme can be quite varied and unpredictable. It can be cloudy and blowing, and an hour late sunny and calm. So make outdoor bookings with that in mind.The restaurant is spotlessly clean, very nicely decorated, and located at a very scenic location on the sea. The views are beautiful; particularly at sunset.All that said, the best part of the Restaurant Am Meer is, by far, the wait staff. All very professional. All very polite and friendly. The positive; Daheim seems to be a family-run restautant that is always sympathetic. However, on busy Sunday evening it took nearly an hour to get the meal and also otherwise the service was not very attentive. The dishes were also disappointing. The schitzel had a thick bread laminate on a woody pork cutlet with no taste at all. The fish soup had a lot of ingredients but in all was bowl of no taste. Quantity over quality.
