The perfect spot. Right ON the beach....atop the sand.
During the day, protected from the wind. During the night, a warm fire pit.
Always the surfers mood, good vibes, and relaxed atmosphere.
We tried the wood-fired pizza (after 4 pm). Perfect after a day on the beach. Thin crust. Nice ingredients. They have only three alternatives, to our taste with too many toppings, but are open to modifications.
Another day we went for lunch. Really good food. Super sweet juices. We brought a bottle of wine...no issues.
Except for a really bad pisco sour (hard to believe being the national drink). Everything was good.
Do not expect city-like service or a large menu.
They are very relaxed....and they take their time. Just sit and relax.

- Cebiche (o ceviche, seviche, etc).

Marola Restaurant

Marola is a restaurant that not only stands out for its delicious dishes with international influences and charged to the local flavors, but also for being in a privileged location with a panoramic view of Pupuya beach, the island and the wetland. Moreover, the spectacle of kiteboarders and windsurfers is impressive. Designed for the family, children can have fun at the playground, while you have a delicious ginger sour, share a marine platter or just an aromatic grain coffee. If you are a devotee of wine, you delight yourself by our extensive menu, including some unconventional ones. We are located 2.5 hours away from Santiago and 1.5 kilometers from Matanzas. See you soon!

In a restaurant is not just about food, is about the whole experience... the music wasn't working and no one was taking care, the cookers left and there was a delay with the food, but the waiter was so honest and clear that we asked for what was ready and enjoy the place. We loved it... and the experience was great, because of the location, the view and the amazing service that the waiter gave us... the manager gave no explanations and he was like mad because we were there.
The owners should get closer to the business.
We will repeat the experience... really good.

The restaurant is almost in the beach so if you are traveling or visiting with kids, it is a good choice as they can play with the sand while you have your lunch.
The menu is simple, not to much seafood and a poor service, even though the girl in charge did a great job.
The kitchen is slow, but food is good.
If you want something better, try the OMZ hotel
It's a good restaurant for young couples with kids

Do not go there in a busy day. We had a reservation at 2:30 pm. We arrived there at 1:30, we were seated on our table at 3:00. We ordered and our food at 3:10 and the food came at 4:30. Horrible, specially with hungry kids.
