Worcester is located approximately 40 miles (64 km) west of Boston, 50 miles (80 km) east of Springfield and 40 miles (64 km) north of Providence. by chance we stopped for the night in Worcester and looked around for an interesting meal, this place seems to be off the beaten path, popular place but we got a reservation, very good food with decent portions sizes, staff was pleasant but busy and therefor less attentive, sangria's were good, buffalo cauliflower was excellent, kitchen pushes out alot of dishes and may have forgotten one of ours - but we were full and it didn't matter, beet salad was very good, highly recommended, fair pricing, but warning it is LOUD in there, my wife and I had to nearly yell at each other to talk

There is just one thing I am sorry about - I live too far away from Shawarma Palace to eat here regularly. Those of you who live in Worcester or are driving through - stop in!The chicken shawarma plate was the best I have ever had, with considerable attention given to each component. Excellent hummus and baba ganoush, great rice, very tasty salad, and tender, warm chicken. FantasticGo

I would go back and order some other menu items. Everything we had the mezzah platter (hummus, Sembousik: Homemade crust with ground lamb and pine nuts, feta cheese wrapper with filo dough and stuffed grapes leave) and the kibbee. Everything was delicious except the stuffed grapes leaves. They were so salty that no one could eat them. We probably should have said something but we let it go.

In todayâs world most of your restaurant meals are pre-portioned and flash frozen. Good for the bottom line, but not for an appreciative palate. NOT so at Basra. Everything I tasted was very fresh and tasted wonderful. On top of that, the place is clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. My only regret is that this establishment is not closer to where we live. Iâd be here twice a week if we lived near it. Recommended highly.

This is a solid Greek restaurant with all of the dishes that you would expect.We went for lamb shank, but it was "out of stock". We fell back to shish kabob and moussaka (both long time favorites.)Restaurant was clean and staff was helpful.Décor is "tired" and could use refreshing.We will eat here again.
