Good food for a buffet on a weekend. There was a good crowd during the lunch hour. It was a reassuring sign. White clothed tables, nice colors on the walls, uniformed waiters, and some good interior decorating give a nice touch to the restaurant. The buffet had ample choices. There were a lamb curry dish, two dry chicken dishes, one chicken curry, a couple of vegetarian dishes. The lamb curry was my favorite. The lamb was fresh, and could tell as it was not that chewy. The service was attentive and prompt. Sliced naan bread was bought to the table, this was fresh. Nice atmosphere for a good buffet meal.

Yes, this restaurant received high ratings and I can see why. That being said, my wife and I did not enjoy it. The menu was limited to certain tastes - mostly curry-based. If you like curry, then go and enjoy. If you are excited by other flavors then go elsewhere.

We tried this restaurant for a second time after nearly a year since our last visit. It was somewhat disappointing relative to a year ago. We tried the appetizer plate which was very good but the cilantro sauce was vinegary and relatively bland. The main entrees were all good but nothing out of the ordinary. The service was attentive and friendly, although admittedly there were few clients in the dining room. Options for alcoholic beverages are fairly limited with a few low end wines by the glass and a selection of beers. Decent place for Nepalese and Indian food but not inspired.

I rated Tandoori Nights as a 3, but my wife would give it a 4. There are things to like, especially the service. The menu has a few things not normally seen on an Indian menu, but most is standard fare. A tandoori chicken was dry in some parts. Salmon was pretty good, but we've had better. Other things were good or a bit better. Overall, I ended up at 3, average for an Indian restaurant at this price level. I'd come back here, but I'm in no rush to do so. The prices are okay, but it is Bethesda so you have to expect to pay a bit more.

Very artistic (pun intended!) decor, and excellent food & service too. Server Ann (from Finland) and owner Atul (from Delhi) weâre delightfully friendly, while the Chicken Tikka appetiser, Tandoori Lamb Chops main course, Butter Naan, and Khulfi dessert were all delicious. Tikke, Sukriya, Namaste! :-)
