Chipotle is dependable southwestern food. I go for the full burrito and never go away hungry. My wife goes for the salad bowl and is always happy. The worst part of the experience is waiting in line to get my food. I have never been it there when there wasn't a line of 10-30 people. Great food draws a crowd.

We have been coming to this restaurant for years and our recent visit did not disappoint. The restaurant is located in a strip mall, but don't let the outside fool you. Inside the restaurant is very lively and on Friday or Saturday nights there is karaoke going on. Late at night there is a DJ and dancing by both the patrons and the staff. It is just a fun place to be. The complimentary chips and salsa are fresh and not too greasy and the salsa is spiced just right. Our favorite is the frozen strawberry margarita which is always refreshing. Combination No. 2 is our usual. It includes a beef, chicken, and cheese enchilada served with rice and refried beans. The beef enchilada is flavorful, the chicken enchilada also has potatoes with it and is seasoned nicely and the cheese enchilada is topped with sour cream. For dessert is it always the tres leches cake to share. It is creamy and not too sweet and a nice finish to dinner. The staff is attentive and speak English as well as Spanish. We having been coming here that many of the staff know us and will wave or welcome us.

Small restaurant but with a terrific Take-Out service. This place has great Mexican food & great prices. I have been to many Mexican restaurants but this place has the best hot sauce I have ever tasted- - better than what I have eaten in Texas & Mexico.Try a take-out order of tacos & their hot sauce. Taqueria Los Primos

My husband and I felt like we got lost in Mexico when we came to this place. That's how authentic it is. Wide menu options mostly are written in Spanish on top of the cashier as soon as you step inside. This place was packed with Spanish-speaking families. Pictures on the menu definitely help if you're not familiar with Mexican food. This isn't Cal-Mex or Tex-Mex. It's legit Mexican food with recipes passed down from the owners' (two brothers) Mexican mother. They deserve everyone's full-star reviews![Tacos al Pastor]Al Pastor refers to the vertical spit that's used to cook the meat (similar to the Mediterranean shawarma). Most importantly, at this kitchen, they put a pineapple on top of the vertical spit, so the pineapple juice drips into the meat as the meat cooks in open fire. This is a very typical and popular taco in Mexico. Love that authenticity! At Taqueria Los Primos, Tacos al Pastor refers to the marinated pork flavor. We love the juicy pork that's lightly sweetened from the pineapple juice a generous amount of raw onions and cilantro, and the chewy tortilla. Their red salsa is quite spicy, so it just added perfect excitement to our tacos! Be gentle when adding their salsa on to your food if you cannot handle spicy food very well![Barbacoa de Borrego]Borrego is lamb and barbacoa means barbecue, so I guess this translates to barbecued lamb. We got the plate version that came on a bed of Mexican rice, black bean paste, lettuce salad with tomatoes and onions, and a few lime wedges. You have the option of beef if you don't like lamb meat. Our Borrego was surely cooked for a long time as it was fork-tender. We also loved that it did not taste very gamy. This dish is on the mild side compared to the other more flavorful and spicy dishes. We enjoyed mixing our Borrego, rice, beans, and lettuce with some salsa to give every spoon a bit of a kick. [Aguachile]If you like ceviche, aguachile is for you. It's basically a mix of seafood (shrimp, octopus, fish, scallop, and snail) with lime juice, red onions, cucumber, chilies, and then topped with avocado. The seafood is "cooked" in lime juice. Just imagine a lime-based soupy sashimi. It's a very refreshing and appetizing dish. It comes with a big plate of tortilla chips. So fun chewing all kinds of seafood textures together with the crispy chips. Their scallops were melt-in-your-mouth tender. It might be my first time eating snail and it had a chewy texture similar to abalone. Aguachile is just a very colorful, refreshing, and fun dish. Love it! [Menudo]Just the perfect hot soup on a cold rainy winter day. Menudo, or Pancita, is a traditional Mexican beef stomach soup cooked in a hot chili pepper base. It's also commonly cooked with different parts of a cow, like tripe, tendons, honeycomb, and beef feet. As the hot soup was brought to our table, the steam had a bit of a pungent smell, probably due to the different parts of the meat (especially the tripe), but the first sip was super comforting and savory. It's not as spicy as I had expected with just the right amount of thickness to eat the tortilla with. The Menudo comes with a plate of rice, lime wedges, cilantro, raw onions, and some warm tortillas. Love the lime juice, cilantro, and onions that added freshness and hint of sourness to the soup. The meat was tender and chewy at the same time. I have to say this has become one of my favorite Mexican dishes! [Orange Carrot Juice and Orange Beetroot Juice]Mixed juices are very common in Mexico. One of the cooks, Alberta suggested us to try their carrot orange juice and beetroot orange juice, which are two of the most popular drinks at Taqueria Los Primos. I personally prefer the carrot orange juice. The beetroot one has a dominant beet taste whereas the carrot one has a stronger orange flavor, so I'd have to go with the carrot orange juice. If you enjoy beets, you may like the beetroot orange juice better! There was orange pulps in both drinks and we felt very healthy having these juices complement our meal. [Area]Taqueria Los Primos is located in Laurel, MD, in between an apartment complex and a Super 8 motel. Nearby are many South American restaurants, but this place was packed on a Sunday afternoon despite the cold weather![Parking]Convenient open parking lot surrounding the restaurant.

As with most of us that grew up in Beltsv/Laurel, sadly, we've seen restaurants here come & go frequently. LOOKS LIKE CHI'BAL IS HERE TO STAY! :-D It's been 3 yrs and they're still here. If you haven't gone, you should. I love Mexican restaurants that have their own menu items, not just a list of nachos, tacos, burritos, & fajitas. So for that reason alone, this place is great. This time our table ordered cerviche, 2 chicken tingas tacos & the fajita combo (chicken, steak, shrimp). CERVICHE: I was always afraid of cerviche but a friend ordered it here once & it's delicious. So today, I put on my big-girl pants & ordered it on my own! Mmmmmm. (Took a photo.)CHICKEN TINGA TACO: Still not sure if the tinga is the prep or the sauce but it was good - shredded chicken w/sauce, not spicyFAJITA COMBO: I'll definitely order this again. Each protein had different seasoning which I thought was fantastic! You know how a good Italian restaurant has a DIFFERENT sauce for spaghetti, lasagna, chicken parm, etc? The chicken had an outdoor bbq char taste. The steak had a fajita flavoring/sauce & was very tender. The 3 shrimp were large, fresh & tangy. Can't wait to go back.

This is an unassuming Mexican restaurant, with Salvadoran influences in a strip mall on Route 1 in Laurel. The food is good and interesting. When we went there for lunch recently, I was delighted to find tamales?, which I don’t see frequently in the DC area. I loved the pork one but the chicken one was a little bland. I also had a Salvadoran pancake appetizer that I’ll skip next time. My husband loved his flautas, crispy deep-fried corn tortillas rolled with ground beef, served with guacamole & sour cream. The chips they served before the meal were good with a green sauce. The service was friendly.
