The excellent location of this hotel will guarantee a relaxing and silent stay in one of the most favorite beach of Brazilian people. Located on the river side few meters from the Ocean and the Mangue Seco village, the hotel offers river view confortable rooms with a family atmosphere. Internet access, swimming pool, restaurant and many activities as sea turtles nesting area visits are disponible for ours guests.

Reviewed By John WIf people watching, night life, shops and tourist facilities are your thing, then stop at Praia de Forte. If on the other hand you are looking for the perfect, palm fringed, white sand beach- pristine (so very clean) and virtually deserted then head 100 km North to Mangue Seco. We have travelled extensively and this is one of the most beautiful, unspoilt beaches we have found- miles (as far as the eye can see) of beautiful white sand, warm water, with a few beach shacks at the Northern end. NO development. Mangue Seco is a sand bar and reached by boat from Pontal on the other side of the lagoon which separates Mangue Seco from the mainland. On arrival into Pontal, a man ran across to show us where to park up the car. He then carried our bags to his power boat, informed Pousada O Forte that we were coming, and we set off across the lagoon. What better way to travel, and on arrival our bags were collected into a barrow and wheeled to Pousada O Forte. This is a simple Pousada facing the lagoon, with a short walk to the beach (where there are no accommodation options). The Pousada provides a good breakfast, and a short, simple and tasty evening menu. The swimming pool is excellent. Rooms are relatively small, and simple, good air conditioning, somewhat dubious electrics, and a comfortable bed. We stayed 2 nights, you could stay longer, but we’d advise against a 1 night stay – you simply would not do justice to this oh so beautiful beach.

Reviewed By Beatriz OWe ended up staying at Fantasia by accident, but had a very good time. Amilton and Andreia were friendly and helpful. They are trying to fix some of their "problems" like changing the bathtub into shower boxes and building a deck and a swimming pool area. Breakfast was good - the carrot cake, amazing! - but I missed different kinds of bread. Our double bed was too small and the single ones not comfortable according to my brother. The pousada is a bit rundiwn and needs care, but All and all, I'd stay there again.

Reviewed By yorgbrickmanOk. Não fica em Mangue Seco. Nao o Mangue Seco, que vc pode estar associando. Aquele das dunas, tieta, buggy. O local, que claro tem seus meritos fica em Costa azul. Costa Azul, dista cerca de 30 km de Mangue seco, por estrada de barro e areia fofa. Acesso somente de carro tracado. Sem tirar os louros da hospedagem, convenhamos...não é Mangue Seco.
