My wife and I tried Liz's for the first time Christmas eve morning. It was very crowded but the staff was excellent and efficient to handle the crowd and the wait was minimal. We ordered omelet and eggs benedict w/ petite filet. Both were very good and we will certainly order again.

There were 6 of us & we had one of the best meals we have had in a long time. They were very busy but we were seated as we arrived for our reservation. The staff was very professional with prompt service, menu knowledge & minor tweaks to suit your taste. The appetizer we loved was a special crab meat recipe from Warren LaRuth. We had seafood & steaks and everything was perfect. The only minor complaint I had was the sweet potato side was to sweet for my taste.

While traveling from New Orleans across Lake Ponchartrain we were in search of a legitimate po-boy shop, so we could take our lunch to The Fontainebleau State Park. We were so happy to stumble across this gem! Pontchartrain Po-Boys is a family owned and operated seafood and sandwich (po-boy) restaurant. There was a huge line waiting for both a table in the restaurant and for take out, but the line moves quick! We had THE best oyster po-boy we have ever had in the New Orleans area. They are closed on the weekends. The staff were very pleasant! We’ll definitely return on our next trip!

Went for date night and the food was just ok. Ordered the meatball appetizer, which really was fantastic. Both ordered a drink, which was good and the garlic served with the bread and butter is super amazing. The main course was lacking. One of us ordered a seafood dish, which didn't have much taste/seasoning. The other ordered a typical Italian dish and the sauce was VERY bland. At the end, one of us found a metal shaving in our food. Very disappointing. Probably will not return.

The ambiance of Rip's exudes quality dishes that will titillate the palette. The menu prices confirm that feeling. But what a disappointment. One meal was cold, two others were mediocre, and three were good. I had the white trout with crab and white cheese. It was good. The salads were crisp and I would recommend the 1000 island dressing. The service was good. But the value was not there. In fact, the other restaurants we passed to get to Rip's were packed, but we got in right away with a party of six. Maybe the locals know something.

A very good restaurant in Mandeville, don't let the strip mall location fool you. While it is a little loud inside (no intimate conversations, that is for sure), the food is very high quality, as is the price. Seated as soon as arrived, water on the table within 2 minutes, wait staff quickly explained daily options, took drink orders, returned with drinks to see if we had questions, did not hover but also was attentive. Service was very good, appetizers, salads, main course, desserts were all superb. Nice sized portions.
Not an inexpensive dinner, but worth the price.

Wife and I ate a couple of really nice lunch entrees—rainbow trout and redfish. Dunno why we waited so long to try this place. It’s great! Will definitely be back, maybe next time for dinner. Really nice bar, wonderful food, fast and friendly service. Excellent find.

I keep trying to visit Conscinos hoping that the food will improve, it hasn’t. We each ordered a pizza, all of them were burnt! There was a very loud band on this night, so no conversation with our friends that we wanted to talk with. The restaurant is too small for a live band! Maybe a solo or duo, no drums!! Don’t go for the food, mediocre at best.
