The setting is nice. They are friendly. German efficiency in attention and service. Not cheap but for downtown acceptable. However, the beef is terrible. My Ribeye was chewy (I requested medium rare) and not tasty at all. Needs a steak sauce. Like deep frozen walking dead. No idea why people review this place among the Hanoverâs best.

When it comes to dining, we can provide a truly special experience at the Kokenstube restaurant. It is run by head chef Alexander Melicker, who trained under the Michelin-starred Heinz Winkler at "Tristan" on Mallorca and at "Residenz" in Chiemgau and is
Had an excellent meal here in the recently renovated restaurant. I had the asparagus soup and the veal with asparagus for my main. It was outstanding as was the service. Best restaurant that I have eaten at in Burgwedel in 10 years !!Dear Guest, many thanks for your great Feedback. The whole staff really appreciate it.Hope to see you soon back at our Kokenhof.Best regardsDirk GruhnManager

Before it got the Michelin star this was our favorite place. However, with the star they went over-board price-wise. Kokenhof offers (almost) the same quality at less than half the price. What is more, Elfrun Kühn, the owner, shares gossip about her guests with everyone, after we had found about that we don't go there anymore.

The Gondel - The meeting point for gourmets. Resolutely modern, elegant design, a unique atmosphere and the proximity to Hanover's stage legend, the GOP Variety Theater make the restaurant to a place for gourmets who live their passion for good food and d
Average food, average service and nothing extraordinary. In the beginning I was impressed that you could pick the ingredients of your dish and will be cooked for you but the end result was not really what I had hoped for. Took too long and by that time we had to assemble upstairs for the artistic show. had only couple of bites and at the end left hungry!!

Became a regular when in town... I appreciate the consistent high quality of the food, especially the meat. They offer different cuts and, if you wish, customized weight. Always something different on the menu to try. Shout out to Conrad and Melissa: really friendly and professional service(!)- yet casual atmosphere with a mixed business/leisure/visiting mostly local crowd. Modern and inviting ambiance. Learned to call ahead and make a reservation.

I have been there for a business dinner; location is fascinating, being an old stable finely restored. Maybe a little bit noisyService is careful and reasonably quick, considering the number of guests.A careful kitchen and chef are elaborating nice dishes, extremely well presented. Good for meat or fish, I tried monkfish, definitely to be recommended. Good list of wines.Considering the level of the location, of the service and of the food, good ratio price/quality

We had a really good Schnitzel and Weissbier here and they are very reasonably priced. The kitchen is open until late, so if you are arriving in Hannover late at night it is a very good place to stop.
