Restauran is loacted 1 km from highway and easy to miss. However they prepare excellent trout and produce homemade icecream. Mostly they offer local traditional food, which taste perfect. Restaurant is also very clean.

In our 16 days of driving through Austria and Slovenia, this was one of our best meals. There's good reason it's #1 TripAdvisor ranked. Our server could not have been more pleasant. He was talkative and explained numerous Slovenian customs and foods. We tried orange Slovenian wine for the first time and loved it. It pairs very well with meats. We both started with a mixed salad that included white cabbage and kidney beans in a delectable vinaigrette dressing. We then shared a huge veal loin with roasted potatoes and vegetables that we had ordered in advance. On the side, we tried three different types of cheese dumplings (plain, garlic can buckwheat) that tasted just like my Slovenian grandma used to make. For dessert, my husband had the chocolate cream cheese cake. I had the pear poached in red wine. Both were amazing! If you're in the Otocec area, you must eat here!
