Received the first Michelin star this year and recently been awarded with "Chef of the Year" in Sweden (voted by all the other master chefs in Sweden), your expectations is quite high when you visit Daniel Berlin Krog in Skane Tranas. Therefore it was exciting to get visit Daniel Berlin Krog again, were I have had absolute awesome dining experiences the last couple of years. To see if the restaurant still gives you a extraordinaire dining evening. From first minute you are taking good care of, Daniel Berlin welcome you as a guest, I have been dining at several Michelin restaurant in Europe and this is the only restaurant that I have welcomed by the chef himself. That is cool. The menu of the evening had 20 dishes - a few of these signature dishes. WOW again - I have praised Daniel Berlin before, and with this evening menu, I would say that one star is not enough. The presentation of the food - the look in itself is art, the taste. Daniel Berlin, you just got it - another evening for me in dining heaven. Thanks for that. I can highly recommend going for the wine menu. It is great when a restaurant is presenting you for a lot of smaller and independent wine, a lot of them organic wines and from wineries that I would never ever find by myself. All wines are served with a great introduction with some good information about the winemaker etc. Awesome food, great wine - all in a fantastic environment driven by very passionate staff - smiling and super friendly. In an earlier review I stated that this restaurant is on my Top 10 list of restaurant to visit - it still is, but now in my Top 5 list.

On a sunny Sunday we stopped at Olof Viktors for a lunchtime o'snack, before heading into Ystad. It was the right place for a stopover. There was Seating in the garden and we didn't have to queue long for our plates of shrimp rolls and cakes. We also sampled the lemonade. The food was good and not expensive. There were lots of people in the yard and the shop. We admired an exhibition of paintings in one of the farmyard buildings and checked out the bakery and the goodies on sale too. All in all, a super spot!

Had a summer lunch outside on the Terrace which was very enjoyable. There is nothing wrong with the food or the service, on the other hand there is nothing very special with it either.Rather short menu, but both for seafood and meat-eaters. You can probably have better food for the same amount of money elsewhere. However, the location makes it worth going.
You are in the middle of the harbor with full view of the boats and the sea from outside.
For a saturday in July it was not too crowded. Service was friendly but perhaps a bit slow.
I will come back because of the nice environment making it a pretty unique meal.

During summer the restaurant normally serves buffets. This summer I did try two of their different buffets (the Mediterranean and the Beef Tenderloin). For beeing a buffet it was very good food that also was kept warm. There were lots of different dishes to please both adults and children. Also good cheeses and desserts.
The restaurant itself is a pleasure to visit, very nice surroundings and a spectacular view over the ocean towards Bornholm. If you are bringing children this please is a treat, children are very well treated, good price-discount and also a small playarea in the lobby.
Well worth a visit - we will come back to visit next summer!

En liten pärla som gömmer sig i Hammenhög. Stort utbud av keramik och en fantastisk innergård där man kan sitta och fika. Många fina Grekiska oljor och oliver. Väl värt ett besök

One of the Finest things in south Sweden ! If it aint the food its fine ladies behind the register ... as a fatman i go there for the food ... but o lose myself in the beauty of these fine Young ladies haaahahh. Anyway good food proper prices and clean in all senses . Eat all you can !!!!! 90-95 kr for healthy lean Turkey ! Nice precise take My advice! Go visit !

Super friendly staff who always manage a smile despite busy times, great location in harbour with amazing view. On a beautiful day, their fried herring is to die for. After the amazing meal accompanied by a Kaseberga Ale, you go to their shop and buy pickled herring.

You can stop here if you are in desperate need of an ice cream or a soda but it feels like forgotten place and it seems like nobody cares about the surroundings. Lots of garbage/trash, containers and dog pop. It is not a nice place and you only stop here if you absolutely have to. Maybe the people who live here likes it...I don't.
My recommendations to the owners: take a look on the outside and put yourself in the customer situation - how do you like it?? Not so nice.

We visited Ystad Saltsjobad for a Sunday brunch in October 2016. The restaurant is located right on the beach and the view is stunning. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and peaceful, even during the quite busy Sunday brunches. Ask for a table either next to the grand piano or by the windows overlooking the Baltic Sea.
The food is very good, with a lot of different dishes to chose from. The seafood and fish dishes were amazing and so were the desserts. The rest was "just" very tasty.
The only problem with the brunches are that they are extremely popular so expect that you have to make a reservation a month or two before you plan to visit. It is, however, worth to wait a while for this great experience.

Amazing ice cream. Lots of genuine flavors like Rose, Licorice, Fläder, Cloud Berry, and the classics such as Lemon sorbet which is the best I've ever had. Well worth the trip to Ystad which is a beautiful town. And yes this is the best mouthpleasing place in Ystad.
