This restaurant is a little out of the way from the main street but not too far and well worth finding. The quality of the food is incredible and the portion sizes are generous! Highly recommended.

A fairly new resort,small and cozy,right on the ocean front.
The restaurant sits up higher overlooking the pool & ocean.
Food was quite good [stick to the local fair] the service was slow,so keep on to the staff.
You can walk down the beach to Niky beach resort,see separate review.

To make it short....i was here in 2013 when this familybased restaurant had opened for only 3 month...they had a small menu with really perfect made thaifood and cocktails.
Now i am back here visited them again... and it improved that much. They kept their traditional thaifoods and cocktails and added int. meals to the chart.
The quality is awesome and you can order flexible spicy to vegeterian curry even when its not offered. Everything is pure and fresh made.
The staff is still familybased and extremely nice and helpful.
We can highly recommend Mango Tree.

We stayed at the Nikki Beach Resort and in the evenings have been three times walking on the beach to this Restaurant, which we discovered during the day time. The food was excellent, the service outstanding and the prices just less than half what you pay at luxury resorts.

what a wonderful place in quiet lipa noi area!
we were mostly coming to think for a drink and dinner, and those were probably the best moments in koh samui.
the food is good, very big portions, fair prices too.
the atmosphere is chill, the beach is nice, not crowded, the staff is very welcoming.
i would love to have stayed here, next time i wouldn't mind choosing think for koh samui accommodation,

Nice place, good quality food & cheap prices, I tried the cheese burger & cheesy fries, burger was very tasty, I didn’t like the cheesy fries.
Also, they give you my menus of adjacent restaurants, in case you are not in the mood mood for burger, you can also place the order with them and someone will bring it to your table

Hemingway's on the Beach can be found at the heart of Thong Krut a sleepy Village on the south coast of Koh Samui. Thong Krut is famous for its views of Koh Tan and Koh Mudsum and through Hemingway's Boat Services you can now visit these Islands on either the Hemingway's Speed Boat or one of three Longtail Snorkelling Boats... The snorkelling on the coral reef just off Koh Tan is exceptional and the bare foot walks along the natural Beaches of Koh Mudsum are romantic and fun at the same time. My wife & I visited Hemmingway's on th Beach, on a recommendation today (28 March 2018). The Thai menu is varied and we could not fault the food or the service. We soent time chatting with the UK owner who explained things on the menu and we followed his recommendations.
Everything on the menu is made from scratch using locally sourced produce. At busy times, because everything is made from scratch you may have to wait a minute or two longer than you might like for your food but believe me the wait will ber worth it.
The chef, Jaa, is happy for you to watch her preparing the meals (from the door) and even gives weekly cokkery classes to tourists.
The UK owner is always there and is always ready for a chat about the menu, the weather, Thailand or anything else.
Interestingly the restaurant is named after the dog that he inherrited witht he site 3 years ago, Mr Hemmingway.
Superb food, nice venue, good conversation and reasonably priced. Excellent all round and well worth a visit.
Finally, please note that as there are no hotels or resorts close by they shut every day at 8pm.
