Posado's Cafe

We met friends here for dinner one night. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated immediately and our server was prompt and knowledgeable. We had some questions about some of the menu items and she had all the answers.

Our group had a variety of menu items and they were all excellent. The salsa has excellent flavor, some of the best we have had.

The prices were excellent for the amount of food you receive. You will not leave hungry. We will definitely eat here again when in Lindale. Only wish they had a Posado's in our area of Texas.

This has become our new favorite for Chinese food. Have not been disappointed with anything we have tried. My favorite is the Mongolian beef with fried rice, the cilantro soup is great and bang bang shrimp appetizer. Generous servings so you will probably be taking some home. A hidden gem.

Dairy Queen

Ate inside recently and swatted flies off my order the whole time, but today I went through the drive thru ordering two blizzards. When I got them one was flat below the rim and melting the other was getting soft. May have been because they were left sitting on a coke machine while the attendant took care of something else, I complained and told her she needed to remake the one that was flat she stated that they just come that way, I handed it back and told her to remake it, she took it back was came back in a minute or two with the same melting blizzard. I almost ask for my money back and should have because before I left the parking lot both were melting. It was warm outside but my car was cool and they should not have melted that fast and did because they were already melting before I got them. This particular DQ has gone down hill fast since I started going there, they need some better management and employees.

So happy to have seafood this good in Lindale. My wife and I have eaten here many times and always split the large fried shrimp and catfish combo for $12.99. It comes with 6 really large shrimp and three huge catfish filets plus fries seasoned with Slap Yo Mama seasoning. It's more than we can eat. The breading on the shrimp is just perfect, not real heavy, which we prefer. The Catfish is crispy and not over breaded. Their cocktail sauce is delicious. Our server told us that the shrimp is Gulf shrimp and not farm raised. I would highly recommend "The Catch" in Lindale. The service is always fast and the food comes hot and quickly. I was told by another diner on one of our visits that the seafood gumbo was the best around. We have tried other places in Tyler for catfish and shrimp but we always come back to Lindale for seafood .

Our group of 20 reserved a quiet back room; so I cannot comment about the ambience. The menu was a nice surprise. My Alamo Chicken was a somewhat dry chicken breast (which tasted moister when eaten with the accompanying pico de gallo), sauteed green beans and cilantro-lime rice. Others ordered the legendary chicken- fried steak and were pleased. Margaritas are large and tasty. Good place to eat.
