Lincoln Park Food Guide: 10 Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Lincoln Park

April 14, 2018 Phylicia Berquist

Lincoln Park is a city in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It lies in an area of cities and communities known as Downriver. The population was 38,144 at the 2010 census. The settlement was organized as a village in 1921, and reorganized as a city in 1925. The area was originally home to the Potawatomi Indians who ceded the land to a French settler, Pierre St. Cosme, in 1776. It developed as a bedroom community, providing homes to workers in the nearby steel mills and automobile plants of the Detroit area while having no industry within its bounds.

Moro's Dining

Is what keeps most loyal customers coming back. Honestly, we had to park behind the movie theater. There are no handicap spots. Waited an hour for the table. Can't make reservations. Service was ok. Sure, they are nicely dressed. Sure, the tableside dishes are entertaining. At the end of the day, it's crowded and the food is just ok. The veal and cod were lacking flavor. The cherries jubilee and the spumoni ice cream were just ok. For the price, you can have a much better meal. You just won't get the tradition of this small eatery that has been serving the community for over 30 years.

Sabina's Restaurant

I went with a friend and we both give this a thumbs up! Overall, food was very good. My fav was the boiled potatoes, sauerkraut and sausage. We got the combination plate which left us with plenty to take home and eat later. The stuffed cabbage rolls were a little different then how my mom makes them, but had a great flavor and done just right!
Service was great! They let us sit and talk for quite awhile. It was very busy during lunch time but seemed to clear out with plenty of people coming and going. I would go again and try something different.

Visited Giovannis at 7pm on a Saturday night, seated immediately for our reservation. The food here is exceptional. From the bread service, appetizers, meal and dessert everything was fantastic. Always a special night. Started with pizza, shrimp and sausage appetizers. Moved to soups and salads. Many wonderful meals including eggplant parm, lasagna, fettuccini Alfredo and simple pasta. Finished with tiramisu, cakes, and homemade tiny fried donuts. The homemade sauces and noodles were incredible. Food, service, cleanliness all top notch.

There is nothing in this world better than Calder's old fashioned milk with the white cap and their cottage cheese. They are the best and nicest people on the planet and they deliver to my home in Northville. The driver is the hardest working young man alive today. He runs to deliver your milk. God bless Calder Dairy.

Hungarian Rhapsody Restaurant

Reviewed By retired04Michigan - Trenton, Michigan

I've heard about it, read about it. For some reason, this was my first time visiting.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted with many Hungarian antiques displayed throughout the facility. It was a Wednesday evening and very well attended. There is a large dining area in the middle of the room, with tables throughout. There are booths surrounding the area, which lend a bit of privacy and comfort. My husband and I usually split dinners. We had decided to try two different dishes, and bring home the leftovers. We ordered Chicken Paprikash and Stuffed Cabbage. We were brought a basket of bread and then our salads. The blue cheese dressing was absolutely delicious...I took half of my salad home and finished it today! Both dishes were very well prepared and delicious! Our waitress was great...she had many tables and handled them all with smiles and made suggestions regarding our orders. The owner stopped by our table a couple of times and made us feel very welcome. We shared a bottle of Hungarian wine "Bull's Blood" It was dry and light. We had to forgo dessert as we were literally stuffed. I know that this will become our new go-to when we are in the mood for authentic Hungarian food!

Friends from Ann Arbor suggested we make the trek to this restaurant, as we were looking for Mediterranean food. We are very glad we did. The service was friendly and fast and the food was pleasant. We started with a fattoush salad and my only suggestion would be to cut the lettuce in smaller chunks. The flavor was good.
We had soup and two entrees and were very pleased with them. The lamb chops were excellent, not overcooked.
The service is friendly and the food came quickly.
I looked at two family platters at tables next to us and they looked wonderful.

They have absolutely the best strudel in Michigan. They have been a staple in Allen Park for years. I've had friends visit and ask how to get to the Strudle House because they had heard about them, or had tried the strudle at my home and wanted to take some home. You won't be sorry to check them out. They are still in a very small building on Park St. You owe it to yourself to check them out.

Simply the BEST frozen custard in southeast Michigan. This little place has been here as long as I can remember. I used to go here as a kid with my parents. They have most all the ice cream treats, but the frozen custard is what they are known for. Only open seasonally. No the healthiest treat on the planet, but the best tasting treat on the planet.

Hop Sheing Noodle House

Reviewed By J M - Monroe, Michigan

You are greeted very enthusiastically. The service was very attentive. You have your choice of either a noodle bowl or a stir fry. You pick the meat and veggies you want and put in on a paper, just like at a sushi restaurant. Our waitress was very helpful in assisting us in this, as it was our first time here.
We had the Japanese Ramen, Pho, and shrimp lo mein. No complaints at all.
Bubble tea is really fun and tasty.
