I have never been served bad food, but this fall the service has been increasingly worse. Some of the waiters are more interested in talking with their colleagues or passers by than serving you.
My last visit was early afternoon. Only two tables were occupied. The waiter showed no interest in me and my company, but occupied himself in conversation with a biker who passed by. It took about 20 min before he responded to us though he looked our direction many times and I signaled that I wanted contact. Only when I made move to leave the place came he to our table to secure payment before we left. The other table seemed to have the same problem.
It is sad bacause they have a good kitchen. To summarize, the kitchen is good but service needs to improve a lot.

The sushi is almost always great and to an extremely low price. The service is usually quite good and the waiter is always ready to split the bill even i large groups. The place need some work though, as it looks somewhat shabby.

Great place to be and the food is amazing. Was on holiday with family and tried there food once but ended up dinning there every evening. Expected More... Delivered Less. We arrived on a busy Saturday nite. Service was excellent. Ordered the "family" style menu for 580 NOK per person. We had 8 people in our party. Crispy Duck was excellent, scampi (king prawns) were tasty, Lamb cutlets very good if not an odd choice to mix with a seafood based dinner. The portions were good until we came to the final serving with lobster, scallops, shrimp and fish. For 8 people it was calculated by the kitchen as 1 "pc" per person. 8 people shared essentially 1 lobster. The mussels that were included tasted "musty" as they were frozen or old. None of us could eat them. Lobster also had a "gamy" taste. All in all I expected more. Dinner for two of us (of the 8) was 2000 NOK which = 250.00 very pricey for what it is.
We took the issue up with the waiter and manager about the portions and were told the kitchen manager pre-arranges portions. When asked about the taste they just did nothing.

A wonderful restaurant for all occasions. The food is fresh and lovely and the service is always great. The place is always busy so it`s a good idea to book ahead on the weekends. I love that they make lactosefree pasta dishes on request.

Been here a couple of times since I live nearby. The food is ok to good. I mostly order the kaeng panag and kaeng massaman as I find those dishes the best. Tried the pad thai and its lothing like a real pad thai. Its basically stir fried noodles with veggies. I find I need to spice them up as they taste bland and boring.
What reallt gets me is the service. When you call to order, they are racing through the conversation, which ends up being longer than it needs to, and there is no feeling of being a wanted customer. Same at the restaurant. I asked to buy one chicken skewer(satay) and it was to difficult to sell me one. I asked if i could buy three skewers without rice and was told it wasn't allowed. So, for me they don't seem to be in the business of making their customers happy.
I will still buy here from time to time due to lack of alternatives, but would buy more if the food was a bit better and the service was improved.

Strømmen doesn't have a lot to show for when it comes to restaurants, it's mostly take away places serving pizza, burgers and the like.
So if you're in Strømmen and you want a good dinner out, your choices are quite limited.
Ambassadør Tandoori though, would have survived even among a lot of competition.
It doesn't look all that great perhaps, but the food is really great, and the people working there are very nice and pleasant.
So if you're in Strømmen (and like Indian food), I can really recommend this place.
Prices are what you'd expect, at about NOK 200 for a main dish.

This is a Chineese restaurant how they think Scandinavians like chineese food... Lot of the dishes are deep fried or litterally drowned in sause :( The sweet','sour sauce tastes like fruitsoup, its not any good at all.
The pricelevel is very low, thats perhaps one of the only nice things I can come up with in this review. By the way, they serve chineese springrolls that are tasty, chrispy and fresh - they saved my night when all the other food failed.
