We began by ordering a nice wine. It was lovely and good value for money. We ordered our food. Two hours later, we were served. Whilst one of the main courses was adequate, the second (veal cheek) was tough and inedible. It had clearly not been cooked for long enough as it was not tender. I left all of my main course. When the waitress asked how the meal was, I told her I was disappointed firstly with the two hour wait, and secondly with the quality of the veal cheek which was tough. She seemed disinterested and brought us the bill. When we saw the price (nearly 100 euros), we were shocked. Had the food been worthy of this, we would gladly have paid without complaint however we elite necessary to share our disappointment with the waitress. She very quickly became aggressive and hostile towards us, raising her voice to an unacceptable level and humiliating us in front of other diners. She took the bill and crumpled it in her hands and then grabbed my husband's credit card and refused to give him it back until he had agreed to pay the entire bill. Under the circumstances, we paid in full and left. Very stylish, classy restaurant, good service, very clean.Starters were fantastic, and we had high hopes for the main courses. While these were very good, they missed - to use a frase unhappily lacking in the English language - a certain 'je ne sais quoi' that would have made it excellent. Still, we'll be going there again and give them a second chance.As to the wine list: this is absolutely incredible and would be suitable for a one or two star Michelin restaurant: beautiful selection of many of the top French wines, ranging from Haut Brion, Mouton, Yquem ... in Bordeaux to Grand Crus of Chambertin or Corton and 1er cru in Meursault ... in Bourgogne to an impressive selection of the Northern Rhone wines. To give an example: they have 5 or so different Cornas, 3 different millésimes of Troplong Mondot, and (although not my personal favourite) 7 different Châteuneuf du Pape. Plenty of other wines from other regions and from other countries. I even spotted a Brazilian wine which I really must try some time. Also lots of half bottles, which is nice is you want to take white and red wine for the two of you.Prices are also very correct.At the end of the meal, the bill was also very friendly (not cheap, but very correct).

A bit remote from downtown Liège, the place offers excellent Vietnamese food and if not too crowded, don't hesitate to ask the owner (AND chef) about the meals and/or your preferences.

This chinese restaurant has an atypical calm interior, discrete service, and decent food. It is a little more expensive than the classical chinese place, but still offers quality for money. They don't specialize in take away, but the few meals I had from them were too rich in fat for me.
