Absolutely loved this restaurant from the moment we walked in the door ! A Michelin Star Restaurant with great atmosphere, super friendly staff and incredible food. An extensive menu that was hard to chose from but we finally settled on King Crab legs and the Caprese for primi's with Spaghetti Vongole and Ravioli and shrimp for secondi - all superb - the wine list is also excellent. Could eat here forever! Highly recommend.

Gelato Fantasy

We had like 3-5 gelatos in Venice and the Gelato Fantacy was one of our favourite. They offer a wide range of flavours and the staff was really generous to share advice on what flavours to get. I strongly recommend the cheesecake and pistachio ones- they're so good!
The welcoming attitude and customer service was excellent. Two medium cones cost €4.50 each (3 scoops each) but they were still pretty big. Good for when you need a cool off during the beating sun of August, which was the month we were here.

Yes, I discovered the WIne Bars (Bacari) of VENICE Long before the Masses way back in 1995, and All'Arco was my first ever. This is one of the most authentic and oldest Bacaro in Venice and one that serves such traditional CIchetti as Nervetti along with Baccala Mantecato, Polpettini, Sarde en Saor, and more. The people here are great: Great CICHETT, VINI, Ambiance, Energy and Service. A Must DO in VENICE. I LOVE IT !!! Basta!

La Tavernetta

The meeting point between the island's people and the tourists, the contact point beetwen venetian and tuscan cuisine, the arrival point where you can find warmth and good wishes. This is the atmosphere of La Tavernetta, a small restaurant near the famous Hotel Excelsior and the Lido's Casinò Palace. Extremely bad service as the waiter threw a fit (muttering something about too many requestsa) when we asked for plates (for dipping the bread in oil) after they brought the olive oil and tap water upon request. Beef was overdone (were given another plate after informing them) and the pasta cooked simply like it could be done yourself at home. Outdoor Seating was infested with mosquitoes. One of the worst places you could patronise!!

Organised a dinner for 18 at this restaurant and it was superb. We pre agreed a menu, the food kept coming and it was excellent. The owner (and the chef) is also an artist and the decor of this restaurant is exceptional. My colleague and I, who were travelling from all over Europe, had a very enjoyable time in this place, and I would highly recommend it.

I wouldn't have imagined that a tiny ice cream shop would be one of the highlights of Venice, but the ice cream here is that good. It's tucked away but not quite off the beaten path, and there are crowds, but it's worth seeking out. One of the best ice creams I've ever had!
