My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights 14 – 17 Oct, 2012. There was a free car parking area in front of the hotel / restaurant with enough spaces. We paid 61 Euro per person per night including breakfast. We had a nice room in the main building right over kitchen; you can hear some kitchen noise but we found it to be quiet after 11pm. The room had great lighting; even the closet and ledge behind the bed were back lit – very modern touch. The mattress was comfortable and overall the linens were nice except for the bottom sheet which had a large weave and was almost rough. The room had a small balcony off the side with stunning views of the beautiful vineyards and countryside of the Sudsteirische Weinstrasse. The bathroom was spacious with good towels, water pressure, etc. They provided robes and a cloth bag with towels to use in the swimming pool and spa. The swimming pool was already closed when we were there but we used the spa tub and steam rooms every day. The spa tub area has large sliding glass doors that we opened up to the gorgeous views. The breakfast buffet was very generous and of good quality with both hot and cold foods. We ate dinner in the restaurant twice and the food was really outstanding on both nights. We also had a snack outside in the garden one afternoon which was equally delicious. The fresh salads with pumpkin seed oil dressing are remarkable, as were all the soups we tried. The entrees and the Sabathihof wines were all very good. We would definitely recommend both the hotel and restaurant and would stay here again. It’s a perfect place to stay in the region and easy to do day and/or half-day trips from. We found the staff helpful and accommodating.

After a great day at South Styrian wine route we stopped at this restaurant for dinner. I guess it specializes in game meat. We had pheasant and deer with chestnuts. Food was very good hearty but not as heavy as typical Austrian countryside food. Desserts and wine were good as well. I bought a case to take home. Moreover, the service was very very nice. I guess we were served by owner and we also saw his wife. They made as feel comfortable.
I saw a Terrace, I guess in summer you can eat with a breathtaking view. I would go there again although I heard there are some other good places around as well.

Me and my wife came here for the day in the sun, eat the standard brettlejaus and sampled the wine as always. The waitress was very attentive and was very quick to deliver the food when it was ready. The restaurant was so full that the food took so long to come but also this could be a reflection on the kitchen itself. From what I could tell myself it was a pleasant balance. The food was perfectly acceptable.
The main highlight for me was the red wines from the vineyard, the zweigelt had such a nice body and texture I bought a bottle for the coming winter.
Worthwhile to visit if just for the wine tasting.

Denk is a modern restaurant, made of wood and glass. Denk impresses with the "new" house and a phenomenal chef.
Tip: Enjoy a culinary journey (Do not ask too much)
We ate:
- Carpaccio with ice cream made of mayonnaise
- Cooked oyster in a sauce
- Cod with caviar, pumpkin, carrot
- Lobster with beetroot and carrots
- Slovenian cattle steak, sweet peas
- Chocolate mousse, mascarpone and ice cream made of black sesame
All the dishes were phenomenal, exciting, sophisticated.
All this good food you can pair with interesting wines. Thay have a wide selection of Slovenian and InternatIional wines (also French wines which can hurt your the wallet).
I recommend a bottle of wine, rather than wine by the glass
Top restaurant (food, ambience, staff)

Before coming here should note that this is restaurant not a buschenshank, however this doesn't detract from the great food served here. The menu is small and compact with a few good choices, we had the backhendl for 3 with 3 salads. The whole food was really good quality and tasted great.
The wine is s selection from the local wineyards which are in a 1km radius of the restaurant.
