Pizza Plus

Reviewed By FilsProdigue - Houston, Texas

Its what the name suggests: Pizza and other "Italianish" dishes. Its got good A/C, good pizzas, good service and a fair price for the locale. I could eat here everyday based on the service alone. Its a cut above the rest of the island.

La Mandoline

Reviewed By 140Kate - Harrow, United Kingdom

My husband and I booked the restaurant before we visited Martinique based on the reviews. We were not disappointed although it was a little difficult to get to without a car. However we arrived in time to look around the pottery village and visited the restaurant to ask the owner whether she could order us a taxi back to the ferry after dinner. She was very helpful and took full responsibility for ordering the taxi. When we returned later for dinner she advised us that she hadn't been able to get through to the taxi company but that one of her staff would give us a lift. We were then treated to a superb meal sitting outside with candles and low lighting with the crickets singing. There was even mosquito repellent on the table for us to use. All our menu choices were excellent, my husbands only regret was that he didn't try their Pina Colada! Thank you to Anabela and her staff for looking after us so well and persevering with our less than fluent french.

O Vin sur Vingt

Open for all occasions, groups, individual, for a meal around a glass of wine, very selected, at midday or for dinner, enjoy the Terrace, or our acclimatized dining room, for a moment of pleasure.

O vin sur vingt is hidden in the back of Californie zone in Le Lamentin. No easy access in a shabby area. Like Harrod’s not so far this good restaurant is a sure bet for a business lunch. A pearl embedded in the concrete.
Warm welcome, likeable staff are significant assets. The dining room is spacious, simply decorated. Service can be a little long. But it’s worth waiting for subtle and tasty dishes. A healthy tenderloin with mash potato, a trio of fish from the market with a vegetable julienne. Or a pata negra pluma with sweet potato mash like yesterday. In the large wine list we chose a fruity Brouilly.
O vin sur vingt is a mix of creative bistro cuisine and fusion recipes, of local products and traditional European specialities. A successful blend.

Healthy, Fresh salad bar, choose your own ingredients, very good choice of different fresh tasty ingredients, good for lunch any day of the week, get their early, otherwise long lineups, but they move pretty fast! take out too! Friendly employees behind the counter that make your salad!!! priced by the weight of the salad, good bread!

La Case Gormande

Reviewed By Christophe M - Paris

I’m used to inviting colleagues and clients at La Case Gourmande. Despite the slow pace of service. Hopeless ! But it’s close to my office, servers are friendly, I like the view from the hill, I like the colonial style of the place, I like the bright, cozy and airy room upstairs. Dishes are fresh, it’s French cuisine with Creole touches. Like fresh scallop carpaccio, subtle foie gras and crayfish ravioli, great grilled sole with black rice, ocean flavor shrimp risotto. It’s tasty and the daily menu isn’t so expensive.

Indochine

Reviewed By Titounnette - Paris, France

Nando V

Reviewed By Christophe M - Paris

Nando V is one of the few restaurants in Jambette industrial area. It’s situated at the 1st floor of a small building. Often full of regulars. This is my hangout when I need a friendly lunch with my colleagues.
Nando V offers traditional brasserie setting and cuisine. Daily specials are constantly renewed and often good. A la carte there are in particular various salads and copious plates of pasta.
My favorites dishes : Nicoise salad, tagliatelle with salmon, Parmentier beef hash, rack of lamb with Provencal tomatoes.
Service is always very fast, prices are fair, the quiet Terrace at the back is really relaxing. And it’s just cool to dip into the jar of sweets before leaving !

Piment Sucré is hidden away at the very end of Californie industrial area in Le Lamentin. Like a couple of restaurants nearby. It’s a small place with colorful decoration and cozy atmosphere. Servers are efficient and friendly. Dishes are unpretentious but fair and light. For my last visit I ate a cream of turban squash, a roast of red drum with sweet potato fries and a coconut flan. All successful recipes of Creole cuisine.

Chez Maimaime

Chez Maimaine is an institution devoted to regulars. A large airy snack restaurant located in the cargo area behind the airport. Decor is simple, local dishes are decent and copious. Prices are fair. You must queue at the counter to order fish soup, conch stew, grilled snapper, chicken fricassee, local vegetables (yam, breadfruit, sweet potato), rice and red beans ...
It always takes long to be served at the table. But Chez Maimaine it’s like that.

L'assiette de la Maugee

Reviewed By gina g - Le Robert, Martinique
