I'll admit it was the Series 2a Land Rover that caught my eye ,and on closer inspection there was a restaurant as well.
I had the reindeer burger (sorry kiddies if Santa's sleigh is late this Christmas ) and the wife had the veggie option and very nice they were too.

We approached this pizza house at 10,00 p.m. and couldn't bump into any other than pizza and soup of the day; neither fries were listed too. Kitchen was about to be closed. Even service is slow enough. Only if you are hungry!!!

Heradsskolinn cuisine is open all year around. We serve traditional Icelandic food at Heradsskolinn cuisine. Everybody is welcome here for dinner, lunch and breakfast in the old class rooms of the old school hostel.

Stopped by during our day trip to Golden Circle - homely interior - airy bright and quaint. The food is very decent, the pizza and salad were good but the chicken panini was so-so. Had fun exploring the adjoining hostel library and the grounds are beautiful and relaxing to walk around. Am sure a stay in the hostel itself would be pretty cool.

Breakfast was included with our room reservation and we're happy that it was. Our meal included a variety of deli meats, cheese, fresh fruit, pastries, juices, coffee and tea; a wonderfully delicious surprise was when our hostess served us homemade waffles with local sweet syrup.
The atmosphere in this cafe is warm, inviting and creates a sense of wanting to stay a little longer and have another cup of coffee - my kind of place. Highly recommend stopping in this cafe to enjoy a meal, charming surroundings, and very fine hostess/owner, who took time to teach me a few Icelandic pronunciations.

We are a family run restaurant and coffee shop that offers local produce as well as products made here on the farm; such as cheeses, skyr, icecream and our own beef. We buy all fresh local vegetables from the county and make our foods from scratch, using traditional Icelandic styles with a modern twist. We are located along the Golden Circle route 37, so if youa re travelling in the area, please feel free to stop by for some ice cream or for something to eat. Every tour bus should stop here!
It wasn’t on our schedule, but I suggested to the driver we should take a short stop here, at least for an ice cream cone. Actually, I mostly wanted to see the main attraction, the source of the delicious, creamy treat just a few meters away from us, on the other side of the window. Really, this is a special attraction on its own and a memorable one!

After two hours at the spa and in the pools, we ate the lunch buffet, which included salmon, salads, fresh breads and soup. Very healthy and good. We loved the variety of fresh and healthy foods available. Our kids also enjoyed it. We were upset by some of the other guests, however, whenever desserts were placed out, they immediately took two to four of each dessert and there were barely enough for other people. My daughter did not get any desserts at all as a result. There should be a limit on number of items to ensure that all guests get at least one of the desserts if the buffet is closing. The special lava bread which everyone got to sample is sweet and very good.
