I have eaten there many times, always good. Tacos, nachos, but the mandarin chicken salad is the best. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. Good to share with any small eaters.

First and foremost the owners are wonderful people. They appreciate their customers and staff and it shows in every piece of chocolate that is made by their own hands. It is truly the best chocolate I have ever had in my life! I am addicted to their milk chocolate turtles, cookie dough truffles, milk caramels, lemon delights and butter creams. There is so much more to choose from and all are great (I've sampled everything). I have been a customer since day one and will continue to be one in the future while recommending this place to others.

I'm not sure what happened or when it happened, but Temple News Agency has been remodeled and appears to have new owners and a new vibe. The inside is now refinished with dark woods and sports a vintage look to fit with the building. Their house coffee is Intelligentsia, but also feature brands like Maple City Roasters and Stumptown. They also offer Sherman Ice Cream, pastries from Spire, and sweets from Little Chocolates. Prices are very reasonable and they are open fairly late (8 pm). Check it out if you appreciate good coffee!

It is in a secluded area not far from the Four Winds Casino. Primarily a Steak house, but they do have a variety of seafood. I have stopped here many times. They always have a cheerful staff and offer very good coffee drinks. The soup changes daily and is tasty, along with their wraps. Bagels are fresh with a good assortment. They have a very comfortable environment with free wifi.

We're in La Porte for a few days so had the opportunity to check out several restaurants...Portofino Grill is our favorite place for dinner. Nice atmosphere with golf course views, quality food, and excellent service. They offer several specials along with their ample menu offerings. Looking forward to our next visit to La Porte and Portofino Grill.

I don't know why people go to Dairy Queen with this place around the corner. It's a drive-thru ice cream shop straight out of the 60s. They have a turtle parfait that makes me want to weep tears of sugar. The ice cream is high quality, and you can definitely taste the difference. Prices are comparable. I think they have random other items like baklava and hot dogs, but I usually always get the turtle parfait.
The only downside is that the drive-thru sometimes takes awhile, as it's just a single window on the side of the building. Their menu needs to be updated as well.

This place needs a new cook. Ordered breakfast, first over cooked, sent back, then undercooked. It was just an omelet, really ? Toast burnt or just warmed soggy with butter? Potatoes were good, coffee good, wait staff pleasant. This use to be a good place to go. Had issues last time we ate there thought we'd try again, we won't be back.
