Reviews on Barbecue food in Sapa, Lao Cai Province, Vietnam. The northwest market town of Sapa is colorful and charming, providing the perfect oasis in the midst of a strenuous mountain trek or rice-paddy tour. The Gothic stone church at the center of town is a bull’s-eye in the center of shops and stalls, serving as a reminder of the town’s French missionary influence. Dine on Vietnamese or European-inspired cuisine downtown, and don’t miss the Saturday night "love market," one of the most potent—and strictest—single’s nights imaginable.

Let come with us! Forgot all of the busy on city! Enjoy some of the simple foods and drinks then relax with best of view...
Right next to the Cat Cat waterfall overlooking the bridge and the water mills, this a great place to stop for a bit, coffee or beer. We were caught in a downpour so ducked in to get out of the rain. Had a nice fish, sticky rice and fried vegetable rolls. All very tasty and well presented. When we left even though it wasnât raining the owner gave us a couple of rain panchos saying, âI donât want you to get wet againâ. Cat Cat is a great place to visit and this little cafe adds to the magic. Thank you so much for came to my home! Because the rained... so we can severed you and your honey!Hopefully weather will be better on your trip! One day soon if you return Sapa, please come back my restaurant!we promise will be some food and drink much better!Again! Sapa Chef Sumo Restaurant is located in the center of Sapa. Only 3 minutes walk from restaurant to the stone church and Cau May ancient street. Come to the restaurant you will be in harmony with nature, fresh air. Sitting in the warm space of the restaura
One of the few good things about the rapid development of Sa Pa is that there is now a wider choice of food available and the addition of a Japanese/Malaysian restaurant is certainly welcome.I have tried both Japanese restaurants that I am aware of in Sa Pa and this is certainly the better option. The Chef, who I had the pleasure to chat with for a bit, spent a few years in Japan and it shows. THe Sashimi was fresh and very tasty. As I felt like something a little more substantial, I chose the "Dry Beef Hor Fun", which was also very good.Service was attentive and pleasant. To be honest, the restaurant downstairs does not have such a great ambiente; try to get a spot on the roof which looked much nice.Prices are decent and I will certainly be back.Dear hannostamm,Warmest greeting from Chef Sumo - Buffet BBQThank you very much for having meal with us and enjoyed itWe all are looking forward to welcoming you back in nearest futureWith very best regards
Went here because of the good reviews and friendly staff outside the resturant. However food was not great. Chewy meat and not much flavour. I got beef sauted with local vegetables but it only came with spinach, my partners meal had more vegetable variation than mine! Meals were relatively expensive too 110 VND for beef and vegetables. Staff were not friendly, all just sitting around on their phones. I asked one man for the bill and he just looked away back to his phone and barked an order for someone else to go and get the bill. Not impressed!
