Unique location and wonderful hosts
Reviewed By vvanhoorickAfter Koh Lipe, we wanted to escape the crowd. The location of this resort next to the entrance of Petra National park is very unique. Breakfast is at the beautiful cozy coffeeshop in the front. The owner Tja speaks perfect English and is very knowledgable of the area. Also the son of Tja is so nice and welcoming. After the overdeveloped Koh Lipe, we are so happy to feel real Thai life and hospitality again.

Great Hospitality
Reviewed By kawanutPak Bara is the gateway to many islands in Adaman Sea. It is also a great place to stop-over for a night for great sea-food and a little relaxation Great Hill Resort is not exactly close to pier nor to the many seafood restaurants dotting the sea shore. We were super duper late due to the massive jam at Wang Kerian border. We arrive at the resort around 5pm.. Tired and eager to check in after been on the road since 5am, Our host with her pleasant smile greets us . She immediately ushers us to our parking lots just outside our rooms which are single storeys type. No check in whatsoever. She returns moments later to hand over our keys to our rooms... Unfortunately, the rooms are all fully booked for the night as we need 1 extra room to accommodate another guest. Room is small for an extra bed. However, an extra bed was quickly brought over. Ing, (not sure I spelt her name correctly), our host, is gracious to help us find a place to eat ... yeah, been Pak Bara a few times but it does not hurt to have a fresh recommendation for food. Back to our room, the room is simple but adequately furnished. A cosy double bed , a table, a flat TV and a simple shower / toilet room. Cleanness is impeccable. The included breakfast served is simple but satisfying. We can chose either American breakfast or local. Saved for Loovi, we all chosen local fare. Ing prepared us a simple spread of chicken tom yum, Thai style omelette and fresh garden salads with rice and coffee/tea. Given what we pay for our rooms, it is more than 'satisfying' When we check out, it suddenly rained. Ing with her dad offer us more coffee / tea and bottled water while we wait out the rain. Conclusion, we find Great Hill Resort simple for quick stay-over.. Hospitality by Ing is truly 1st class.

Reviewed By pauloO4033IAI was impressed with the hotel the rooms are very big with a nice balcony the staff were really helpful. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast which isn’t normally to my taste in first thing in the morning but there’s a lot of things to choose from most freshly prepared. I also had a nice evening meal at the hotel which they cooked fresh for me I would definitely recommend. Nearby massage place was excellent as well and good value for being attached to hotel.

The beds were to hard after our opinion. The free breakfast was very good - by far the best on our trip around in Thailand. The staff was very friendly and offered free transfer to the pier before take off to Lipe. Would definitely book again.

Compact and Cozy Hotels Room
Reviewed By travelwithshreyaThe hotel is only 15-min ride away from the pier. We had booked online three double-bed rooms in the hotel. It is just for a night stay so we can get to the pier to catch our ferry to Koh Lipe the next day. The bedroom was well-equipped with comortable bed, refrigerator, air-condition, and water-heater, and free WiFi.We had a comfortable stay there. The owner was more than friendly. He was up for us even when we checked in so late. He led us to our rooms and helped with our luggage too. We had a short yet beautiful in that warm and cozy resort at Pak Bara. I highly recommend this place for a night-stay before you take your onward journey to Koh Lipe.

Our offer is simple, comfortable bungalows by the best beach, on the most tranquil and natural island in all of Thailand. Koh Bulone Lae is completely independent and unspoiled in the sense that all of our infrastructure is provided by us and our community and is self maintained. It's one of the reason sthat our resort grounds are in such a pristine and primal condition. The flora, the birds and butterflies and the marine life are all part of this islands ecosystem and are to be considered with respect as you will surly encounter the life here. Many families with children choose to stay with us as we offer an increasingly rare chance to spend holiday time in a location this close to nature, but with a level of comfort that allows them and their children to completely relax and just enjoy their time.

Reviewed By angrybird793The massage at Bulone resort is not worth the money! After trying both Thai and oil and different masseuses, the massage here is really more of the comfort kind. Is is way too soft (tried to ask for more firm massage several times) and they really didn't hit the right spots). The lack of competition on the island could be one of the reasons... Luckily there are many places in Thailand were the massage is excellent!! ?

Reviewed By doncoppockRooms were clean and comfortable, bathrooms were relatively spacious, staff was friendly and helpful and location near pier and next to the sea was great. Small buffet breakfast was also good. Only minor complaint is walls were a bit thin, but we really enjoyed our stay here.

Perfect place for stopover on your way to Koh Lipe
Reviewed By ConquerorOfSummitsWe didn’t regret even for a second that we chose “Best house resort” as a place for our stopover during our trip to Koh Lipe. Firstly, because it was a pleasure to communicate with the staff both on the “booking the room” stage (we were communicating via their FB page) and also on “settling in” stage as well. Benevolent owner, khun Ken, even let us leave our car on the property while we were on the Island (you can easily contact him or staff on that matter, personally). Secondly, as a lot of people already mentioned, the location is absolutely perfect: 7\11, pier and lovely coffee shop “The barista café” are located just five minutes away from “Best house”. Also, the territory of the place is so cute, it has its own lake and a lot of greenery. Finally, the room we booked absolutely met our needs. In other words, this place deserves five stars from our side. P.S we completely forgot to snap photos of this place but consider this thing as an additional reason to come back here.

Great location by the beach
Reviewed By FaizalP61Laguna resort sits right on the beach front with great views from the restaurant and some of the rooms over the sea to Ko Yai and Tarutau islands. The new wing including restaurant and VIP rooms is excellent. The other rooms are fine. The buffet breakfast is very good. The only drawbacks is that there is a road between the hotel and the beach (but not very busy) and the beach is narrow. Much quieter area than the main road near the Pak Bara Pier.
