The setting near the port of Ponant just outside La Grande Motte is excellent with local restaurants a 5 minute walk away. We had a ground floor PMR room with a terrace overlooking the golf range. The staff were all excellent and extremely helpful. The bathroom has been recently renovated but unfortunately the shower area had a fixed glass screen so it was difficult for me to access in my shower chair. The mirrors above the sink were too high but there was a huge mirror on the wall in the bedroom. At checkout I-mentioned the wet room situation and I was told that if we were to return in the future then they could remove the screen and replace it with a shower curtain. We would love to return

Reviewed By FFM9Amazing renovated little 3* hotels, tucked among the pine trees, this historical building was designed by the master planner of the town in the 60s, and was refreshed entirely in 2020, in an exquisite design, classy manner, with a twitch of funkiness. Rooms are some 25sqm, with a tub in the bathroom and a separate toilet (clever!), each room has a very large balcony, with table and chairs, either overseeing the pool or the park on the back. Rooms is very well designed, with brand new bed and mattresses, many electrical outlets inc USB, a mini fridge, plenty of luggage storage and side table in the room. Internet is free and work very well across the entire venue. The hotel has enough parking spot on site (10€ a day) it is secured, and it can help to reserve one just in case the venue is full. They have as well a E charger for electrical cars The swimming pool is large and well organized, well maintained, warmed (24c-26c) continuously, and surrounded by pine trees, making you feel like in an oasis. Staff is young and friendly. The barman, Raul, was amazing, his drinks were excellent. Breakfast seemed good, but we used the outstanding bakery 50m away on the hotel street, larger choice, and one of the best onea in LGM. This is by far the best 3* I have ever stayed at, usually I dont expect anything that good from a 3*, so it was a very good surprise. If they would scale up the service (restaurant and food) it would easily classify as a 4*. We stayed 4 nights in room 116, close to the staircase and not to far from the lift, but room was quiet, so was the entire hotel at night. We could have stayed longer without hesitation The beach is less than 10mns walk via the pine park / forest, a lovely walk surrounded by pine trees perfume. Highly recommended!

The food was good with good service. Bonus for the on site renting of bikes for guests. This saves a lot of time and struggle compared to rent in town.

Reviewed By Alexisud BWe had selected Les Rives Bleues for its price but we were very positively surprised by its amenities with a nice swimming pool and its central location. It is a very convenient spot in the town centre close to the Tourist office. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A keynote is breakfast with a wide range of choice, fresh juices etc. We would gladly repeat. Well done to the team!

Reviewed By vkorth793630A great hotel at a reasonable price located close to all essential services. Perfect for business or pleasure. Closest hotel when entering le grand motte. Easy in and easy out. Anyone who has been to lgm knows you can lose 20 of your life waiting at all the stoplights the further out you go. This for me at least made this the most time effective option as my time is limited on this planet and I dont want to waste it in front of a stoplight every day. Hah I will stop now as my rant of the stoplights is for another post. As far as the hotel itself, I gave it 5 stars.

Reviewed By LianyAll the comments below being correct, I would have a series of advice for this hotel's managers after our 1 week stay : 1) Back to basics: for any hotel, customer expectations is that they will stay in a clean place. This is not the case at La Plage: black shower joins, spotted carpet, torn curtains. Likewise, the staff wear their masks on and off, and the breakfast does come with individual utensils Likewise, internet these days is a commodity not a luxury...you should not have to be in the toilets to get decent reception. Basic stuff like getting a bathmat or toilet paper should be done without needing to call reception 2) Listen to your customers if you want to stay in business: multiple reviews talk about the crappy arrangement with the private beach: either charge a bit more on the room rate and make the beach free for the guest or totally separate the 2 businesses..having to pay separately help you to manage your internal cuisine, no customer cares about this. 3) Train your staff to meet a 5* standard: the service at breakfast on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th Sept was a joke: tables not ready, waiter running around but not achieving much, passing by our table 6 times with empty hands but never picking up dirty plates, no coffee spoon on tables, coffee machine out of milk or out of order, lukewarm bacon and dried eggs, mold on fruits..and finally the overwhelmed waiter starting a long conversation with a colleague ignoring customers that were coming in. Service on and off when we tried to get our car. In short quite a long way to go to be a real 5*...this is a waste of good resources as some staff were efficient (breakfast waiter and waitress at the beginning of the week) and the hotel location is quite good.

Nicely renovated but unfriendly management
Reviewed By Tytus LPay attention: the hotel management plays with words and the “beach side” rooms do not have beach or sea view, they are only oriented towards to beach but with the view on a fence. Unfortunately the management is not admitting that trick and is not flexible about cancellation at all, besides being very arrogant and unkind. Not recommending the hotel because of the management with lack of customer orientation.

Reviewed By Navigate35512075954Stylish hotel with what looks like a great restaurant however because of my ever changing travel plans - it could be said I really messed them around ! - ultimately cancelling a two night booking. The staff were extremely helpful - nothing was too much trouble - will definitely come back next time I’m in Grande Motte.
