You'll almost certainly need to book ahead at this small, friendly, traditional restaurant. It's pretty popular - plenty of people were getting turned away the night we were there.
Lovely and friendly service, really liked the house aperitif and the desserts. Excellent value for money at just €30-40 per head incl wine and drinks.
Food (we had onion soup and tartiflette) was hearty, filling and very good but not quite exceptional - hence not 5.

Great little restaurant near to the Office de Tourisme in Alpe d'Huez. They run a shuttle taxi service from your chalet as well for free. Food was outstanding and the couple that run the place exceptional hosts. Worth a trip for the croziflette alone! Reasonably priced especially for a ski resort. Will definitely go back next time in Alpe d'Huez.

It's hard to choose which version of fondue you want at la fondue en folie, We picked one with mushrooms and loved it. Great taste! Dutch cheesefondues are very different, we only had bread and potato to dip (there were some with charcuterie but no vegetables) but didn't miss them. We thought their taste of music was somewhat strange: a cd from afroman on repeat with kinky lyrics. Let's say we were very happy our son doesn't understand English....

On a skiing holiday with the lads we thought we would try some local cuisine. The food was excellent the wine was even better and the price was very reasonable. Also catered for a large group and were not put off by such a large group of lads. A must go!

We were recommended by chalet staff. Truly excellent food. The snails were dripping with flavour, the French onion soup perfect, the frogs legs gorgeous and the Rackette very good. The portions were large. The ambiance was busy and friendly

Ate here on chalet staff night off. A very warm welcome and a nice atmosphere.
The food was good...although the tartiflette comes with charcuterie rather than bacon in it (was a tad disappointed but it tasted fine). Starters were quite expensive but they were very good. Contrary to what a previous review says you do not have to pre book raclette. Service was good and very friendly. The wine list is not extensive but the Crozes Hermitage at 39€ a bottle went down very well. Seven of us ate for 450€, that included starters, main and desserts plus wine (although two were not drinking), four had the raclette. Would go back.

From one of the best restuarant in city I was expexting much much more. Lamb was dry and tasteless also stew form it was not what I want to eat. Snails with full of garlic...also fish like Angler should be done in pure form , not swimm in hevy cream souce with rice. The fish was completly overcook . The same was with classic french dessert Chocolate fondant - copletly overcook and dry. After my opinion They change it for new one but it should nt happend at all.

Le Puits Des Saveurs est une fusion de toutes ces saveurs qui autrefois inhabituelles deviennent si familieres.Nous vous proposons un echappatoire aux "cartes conventionnelles" suivant le rythme des saisons.
Recommended to us by an Alpe D'Huez cycle shop owner we had a delicious meal there. It certainly felt like we were 'fine dining'. Lovely wine, and 3 courses (especially the 'coffee combination' dessert) followed by a complimentary shot of Genepi each at the end. Not cheap but the best meal of our 7 day holiday. Superb service from the owner. Had to "double take" that I was in the Alps still and not actually in a fancy city restaurant somewhere :)

Smithy's only serves the best quality food in our Tex Mex and Grill restaurant.
Humongous homemade burgers, stacked tall with toppings, nachos piled high with melted cheese, guacamole, homemade salsa, sour cream and jalapenos.
Tender fillet steaks, sticky BBQ ribs and crispy southern fried chicken wings.
We also offer a wide variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options as well as a menu for the kids.....
This place is excellent. Food great. Service great. Tex mex fair. Took my 3 kids (11,9,7) and wife and plates were empty. Quick friendly service with nothing too much trouble. If you like pulled pork and burgers or fajitas a must! Enjoy... we booked by sending an email the night before which was perfect as it can get busy

-Cooking in the wood fire, rib of beef, fish, breast of duck and tradition Savoyard and Basque cuisine.
My son who is working in the resort had been here several times and recommends to his customers. Glad we booked but when we arrived I was disappointed to be shown downstairs, upstairs was atmospheric and busy. Downstairs we were the first table in and it felt rather disappointing, but it soon filled up and was fine. Nice and warm. Good choice on the menu although the boys had already decided to go for the Cote de Boeuf - an enormous plate of beef which they thoroughly enjoyed. There was a good veggie choice for me including a vegetarian tartiflette - lovely evening, with wine cost us around €100 for 3 of us. Staff were friendly and service good. Definitely book but next time I would prefer upstairs.
