A great base from which to explore Bohemia
Reviewed By mingwai2018My husband, daughter and I have recently returned from staying four nights at the Kolonie as we were in the Czech Republic to watch the other daughter play hockey in the Under 18 European Championships in nearby Rakovnik. The rooms were very comfortable with nice views over th arable crops and onto the forests beyond. The food was straight forward but very tasty. The owner did an excellent job of assisting us with our needs and suggesting places to visit and was a font of knowledge about the local area. In between matches we visited some of the local castles and also did some of the well sign posted walks through the woods. It looks an excellent area for cycling as well and there was an extensive amount of cycles routes available for both road and off-road. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Kolonie and hope to return once again to explore of this fabulous area.

An occasional B&B in a small village surrounded by a national park 35 easy miles from Prague (free pick-up from Roztoky RR station, airport pick-up available). Great views over nearby Krivoklat (castle) and the Berounka (canoeing) valley, large range of activities nearby.3 large rooms with en-suite bath and toilets on the landing (one triple and two doubles). Free use of wifi, garden/BBQ, separate kitchen, washer/dryer. From 40 to 60 euros, full breakfast included. No pets except for seeing-eye dogs & similar. Children - under control & with basic social skills (if you have to ask...) - welcome (free baby cots on request). Bizarre but friendly owners/operators.

Reviewed By 55pavelrMísto, které vás naplní optimismem a pohodou. Interiéry a exteriér plné nápadů a milých překvapení. Nejde o běžné ubytování. Mnoho ubytovacích zařízení má útulné podkrovní pokoje, hernu, bazén, barbecue, snídaně v zahradě, krásné okolí,... Stejně jako toto. Ale toto místo, toto místo má navíc duši. Díky moc Nikolo, Rogere a Pavle. Zase se rádi vrátíme.

Friendly and easy stay
Reviewed By Prabodh_M2019My partner booked this place for us as this was my first time visiting in the area. We had a beautiful and relaxed time and were even allowed to have our big dogs with us! The owner is very kind and helpful, and it is deeply felt that he loves his business. It is true as was mentioned in the other review, that the towels were small and there was only hand soap as "toiletries". However, it was not such a big issue and we had a very good experience, and very happy to recommend it.

Reviewed By 5nvfx1nSympatyczny hotel w centrum miasteczka, pokoje po remoncie, sam budynek jeszcze w trakcie prac, ale nie mają one wpływu na warunki zakwaterowania. Smaczne posiłki w hotelowej restauracji. Jedyny problem: dość głośno; okno pokoju wychodziło wprost ruchliwą ulicę i restauracyjny ogródek.

The soup was good.....
Reviewed By Erkki LWe stopped here with a large group to eat. It was ok as restaurant, but nothing to write home about. Most likely we would have been better off, had we visited the place with a smaller group. Outside was a nice ice cream stand...... ;-)
