The food was really good and washed down lovely with a cold beer, donât be put off by the bumpy trek to the restaurant itâs part of the experience. The menu had plenty on it and even my gluten free daughter could find something. The restaurant owners are very down to earth and couldnât be more helpful, try it you wonât be disappointed.

Spent a week at Lanta Castaway, and enjoyed a few meals at the Beachcomber! Absolutely stellar service - always a smile, very good staff! Food was tasty, and reasonably priced. We loved the BBQ nights (Tuesday and Saturday) - You don't want to miss this if you're on Koh Lanta! Texas Brisket as good as i've ever had!

Pra Ae Is The Village Road Side Of Long Beach. May's Kitchen Is Neighbour To The Irish Embassy Which You Have A Listing Of On Pra Ae Ko Lanta.
We found this gem of a restaurant via reviews and are only surprised it isn't higher rated. Good selection of local and international cuisine, both of which are done well. We do lean towards the local dishes - May's made some of the best curries and fried wings/pork ribs we've had on Ko Lanta. Their BBQ chicken and fish are also fantastic.Add reasonable local pricing to this and it is simply a great choice whatever you're craving for the day. So good that after our first visit, we made it our regular dinner place. Our only regret was that we didn't discover it sooner.

We wanted the BBQ menu and ordered it. We got a steamed fish in BBQ sauce. From the sign at the front of the restaurant, it was also meant to come with garlic bread. Apparently not. So we got a non BBQ-ed fish with a microwaved potato. It was very average and it wasnt cheap either. Wish weâd gone for a more local place where you can get much better quality food for more reasonable prices. Plus the service wasnât great either and they didnât seem to care that the sign for the BBQ was wrong and misleading in front of the restaurant.
