We found this place on a local English-language tourist map. There's no English menu here, but the staff is kind and will do their best to help. Individual curries cost around 1,000 yen, but we opted for sets comprising salad, a full order of curry, dessert and a pot of tea for 1,600 yen. The curries seemed handmade to order, and they were much spicier than typical curries in Japan. The desserts were sizable given the cost (I recommend paying 100 yen extra for soy pudding), as were the pots of tea. If I recall correctly, this place closes at 5 pm.
