Reviews on Caribbean food in Kingston, Kingston Parish, Caribbean. Far from the north coast resort towns, Kingston is Jamaica at its most authentic, a sprawling city of contrasts spread between the east coast and the Blue Mountains. Kingston's diversity is reflected in its disparate neighborhoods, from the wealthy northern suburbs to the less affluent downtown. Travelers can discover the spirit of One Love at the Bob Marley Museum, or sample delicious ice cream at Devon House. Nearby, the former capital of Spanish Town offers insight into the area's history.

We went there for our wedding anniversary and even though the day my husband wanted to go they were not opened but whomever my husband spoke to allowed us to come anyway so we had the whole place to ourselves and it was amazing. It was the best surprise wedding anniversary ever due to the ambiance and the views oh that view. The food was great. Get the blue hot chocolate but be prepare to see it appear somewhere else the next day. The experience will stay with me forever.Congratulations on your anniversary and thank you for spending your special day with us. The woman your husband spoke with is our General Manager Zoe Alexander :) We are very happy you enjoyed your day and wish you many more years of happiness!

Chateau 7 is jamaica's first and only Gourmet Jerk Centre, specializing in original recipes of traditional dishes revved up with incredible, unique flavours. In January 2017 Chateau 7 was one of only two restaurants in Jamaica recommended by the NEW YORK
I usually write about sit down restaurants but this place is one of the few âroadsideâ jerk pits in Kingston that has now become part of my regular eateries. Firstly everything on the menus is excellent so bring your appetite and your familyâs sense of culinary adventure if this is going to be your first foray into topical Jamaica Jerk and try a bit of everything ! My favorite you ask ? Well Jerk Pot Pork.. there is nothing better in my opinion!

This restaurant is noted for great local food and is reasonable priced. We had the: Pirate Catch(fried fish, grilled lobster and spicy shrimp), Whole grilled lobster, fish soup, coconut water and it cost less than $40US. The lobster and fish were fresh from the sea. This was the best local meal I had while visiting Kingston.

Having visited Kingston on several occasions, this restaurant has always been on the list to visit and we finally made it.Parking is plentiful and the restaurant itself is in very pleasant surroundings. Our waitress was friendly and efficient and we were seated by the pool and bridge. We ordered vegetable pasta with an Alfredo sauce, vegetable pasta in a pesto sauce and I had snapper with a scotch bonnet sauce. All of them were very nice and the sauces that went with the 2 pasta dishes were excellent. Portions were really large so unless you are a renowned trencherman , I wouldnât have a starter!!Certainly worth a visit.

This is one of the old, established restaurants in Kingston but definitely showing its age. Food was mediocre considering it is considered a 5-star level restaurant and one of the more famous in Kingston. Recipes probably haven't changed in decades. Go to some of the newer establishments in Kingston. This restaurant caters mostly to tourists and locals with birthdays. And the service was really strange -- they took our food orders and then later another waiter came to take our cocktail orders.Dear will505, Thank you for choosing The Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel, and especially for taking the time to share with us your feedback. We are grateful for your mixed review highlighting aspects of your recent experience with us and are disheartened to understand from your review that we did not meet all your expectations. We remain grateful for comments like these that help us to improve our product on a daily basis, and with these improvements, we would love to have the opportunity to host you again.Regards,Kristene Douglas

A clean, airy, atmosphere where the food is both tasty and attractively displayed. The variety was great including fruits, yogurt, eggs, bacon, pancakes, pastry along with Jamaican style cuisine. A delightful time spent with family.
Contemporary dining and bar with indoor and outdoor seating in a cobblestone courtyard with a pond. Vegetarian and gluten free menu options are available. Open for lunch and dinner.
Chive opened in November 2018, and I took a friend for lunch in late March, 2019, hoping they had ironed out the challenges inherent in opening a new restaurant. Certainly, the menu choices very interesting and varied and the waiter was both friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes of offer. However, service was extraordinarily slow. We were in the restaurant for two hours - not an amount of time that most folks can invest at lunch time. However, the food was very good, and the house salad dressing was so special that it warrants ordering a salad simply to have the dressing. The pasta was also very good. Recommended for lunch if one has lots of time to invest.

The bar is stocked and beer is cold but the food menu is usually restricted to 2 or 3 dishes that are often served just warm. Expect slow service despite the absence of other customers.thanks for your response... we are upgrading our facility to include a night life... thanks so much please come back ... we welcome the constructive comments ..one luv..
