I had one of the worst experience of my life ever at Hotel Bayerischer Hof, my privacy was totally violate at 23:15 I was taking a long shower because I had apply a hair mask and some water came out of the shower, while I was relaxing there the owner/manager of the hotel go inside my room accessing with his own key, screaming like a maniac to me in a horrible aggressive way, while I was naked in the shower, didn't give me any time to get a towel and cover myself, saying that the room downstairs was getting wet, to be honest it was not a lot of water out of the shower I have 2 videos that I took as soon he leaves the room, 1 minute after he come back with 6 towels, (witch I use 3 to completely dry the floor) he was with a horrible actitude still screaming at me saying that I needed to pay a lot of money for the damages, he leaves again an as soon I get the change I get dress and go to the reception to clear the situation because his behaviour was inaceptable, I was saying to him that he cannot just violate my privacy in such a bizarre way and treat me like that, he continue screaming accuse me that I could be on drugs or drunk and he was going to call the police, all this screaming to the top of his lungs, lucky for me one of his staff members try to calm him down and ask to behave proper, after more confrontation, he decide to barely apologize. I was scared and petrified because a total strange came to my room and screamed while I was naked in the shower, he didn't try to reach me by the phone of the room, my phone that he has on the information from the booking reservation or anything. Now they want to charge me the amount of 580€. I did nothing wrong only took a shower. IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY YOUR VACATION/WORK TRIP NEVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!! WORST MISTAKE EVER!

Great economy family get-away
Reviewed By rejuvenation60I took my three grandchildren ages 5, 9, and 11 for a two night stay. We asked for an early 1400 check-in so that we could be ready for free use of the neighboring waterpark starting at 1600 (just a walk across the parking lot) and it was granted. The room we got was marvelous with huge floor to ceiling windows all around it. It had two beds downstairs and two beds with a canopy upstairs. The water park was very nice with slides, an outdoor heated pool, a diving pool area, and a lazy river. We added the half-board to our hotel reservation and the evening buffet was better than expected. Nice fresh salads, breads, main dishes, desserts and drinks included. The chef in training from Hungry was very hospitable and he made sure the food was prepared and presented well. The lobby has an area where families can play table games and order drinks. There is also three small play areas for children within the hotel. During the day we went to the Schwartzen Lifte Eschach for snowboarding and sledding (13 minute drive from hotel). It is a great place for children and beginning boarders and skiers. Overall a fantastic weekend trip and the price just cannot be beat.

Great place for a family
Reviewed By r0dneylcWe loved this place. We got a very large two bedroom suite for an excellent price. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff were very accommodating. Even our dog enjoyed his stay. Breakfast was a great value, also, but get there well before 10:00 to be sure there's enough coffee. The only downside to the place was it was well outside of downtown and the old town. However, if you're at all fit, it's only a 45 minute walk at most and there is a bus going to the main train station that stops just outside the hotel. Taxis are not too expensive, either.

Cependant, les dessus de matelas font du bruit quand on se retourne et nous avons dû les enlever au milieu de la nuit. Si vous comptez prendre le petit déjeuner à l'hôtel, prévoyez en avance et réservez car nous n'avons pas pu, c'était complet.

Functional at best - overdue for a serious overhaul
Reviewed By martijnliemThe hotel can best be described as functional at best. The hotel itself is very dated and is overdue for a serious overhaul. The hotel is located above a casino / ‘gentlemen’s club’. The absence of an elevator with rooms up to the 4th floor is also not a plus. The staff is friendly but could not overcome the many dislikes about this hotel.

Anniversary holiday
Reviewed By Toddster151It all started when we checked in, the staff didn't seem organized and had trouble finding our room. When finally got to the room it hadn't even finished being cleaned, the cleaning staff looked shocked that we turned up. Hotel was being renovated but we weren't informed this. Our TV didn't work properly even though it advertises a smart, this would be great if it didn't keep turning itself off, every morning we complained and every morning we were told it would be sorted, every night back in the room the tv carried on turning itself off. It was as though they just told us it would be sorted to get rid of us. Most of the reception staff weren't overly friendly, one girl was brilliant the others didn't seem happy to be there. Then we come to the parking, the hotel advertises parking what it doesn't explain is there is very limited parking and you're very lucky if you get a space, the car park is very awkward and tight, we ended up parking in the public carpark next door, luckily we didn't want to go anywhere at night as it closes at about 8 each night. The breakfast was okay.

Reqasonable budget motel in light commercial area
Reviewed By Iustitia6605This hotel is a few kilometers away from the town centre, in a light industrial area. The building houses several other commercial companies as well. The rooms are spacious, clean and well furnished but rather utilitarian, as is the building itself, more like an office building than a hotel. One plus is te availability of tea and coffee making facilities in the room, rather unusual in Germany. There are no public areas at all, except a breakfast room which is only open in the morning. Checkout is at 11, which is rather early for Germany where most hotels have checkout at 12. When we asked for slightly later checkout, this was refused, which is rather unreasonable considering that not all rooms could possibly start be cleaned at 11 am sharp. There is free parking around the hotel. However, some rooms open to the courtyard where commercial companies start work early and there may be noise from loading and unloading. Overall, a reasonable budget motel suitable for short stays.

Nice apartment
Reviewed By diegoz681I stayed one night in Kempten to have a break coming back to Italy and I booked this hotel. Hotel entry and reception are not 100% easy to be found because it seems like a “normal building”. We have been accommodated in a nice apartment, the only issue was the floor (2nd floor without elevator, with stroller and bags…readers can imagine). There was a bedroom, a nice saloon with the second bed, and a bathroom where I always hit my head (it’s a mansard). I didn’t enjoy breakfast: the breakfast room was great, but the choice of food (especially cakes) was really poor to be improved. Difficult parking when the hotel is fully booked. Price is 130 euro.
