It is the seat of Kayseri Province. The city of Kayseri, as defined by the boundaries of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, is structurally composed of five metropolitan districts, the two core districts of Kocasinan and Melikgazi, and since 2004, also Hacılar, İncesu and Talas.

I found out about this place from TripAdvisor during a day-long stay in Kayseri on our way back home from Cappadocia. It made for a great, entertaining evening with the family. The decor is interesting, the place has lots of things for kids to explore (birds, mannequins in film costumes, board games, film posters), good music, film on tv screens (we watched two Charlie Chaplin movies while we ate), and a menu that is also a cinema magazine. It is an original place that appeals to all senses. You can tell that the people who run the place have put a lot of thought into the menu: the food is not like anything else that you come across in Kayseri as tourists and it is presented in interesting ways. The service staff are very friendly. It is a bit pricey but I thought well worth it. I hope I can go back one day to try out the private theaters downstairs.
